I had a great experience here! I ordered the Mixed Gyro Plate with lamb and chicken gyro served over Afghani rice, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were amazing and the portion was very satisfying.
What really stood out was the service — the staff and our waiter were very helpful, polite, and attentive from beginning to end. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
If you’re looking for flavorful food and great service, I definitely recommend this place. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My experience at Kandahar Restaurant & Lovely Sweets was excellent. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The kebabs and rice dishes were especially delicious and full of authentic Afghan taste. The restaurant has a simple but welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable while dining. What made the visit even better was the amazing service from Sahra. She was very kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her friendly attitude really made the experience memorable. If you are looking for authentic Afghan food with great service, this place is definitely worth visiting. I would happily come back again.

I’ve been going here since I was a baby and I loved it!!! Now that it’s renovated it’s even better!!! I loved the sultan platter it was perfect to feed my family of 5 it was soooo good and we loved all the variety of meats! My server was Asifa and she was so sweet! She was very attentive and made my experience sooo muc better! Highly recommend this restaurant!

9/28/25 Went in on a Sunday for lunch. Good portion for the grilled platter! Meat was soft and tender. Bread was fresh and sauces were also in-house I was told. Vibe was good with lighting and not too noisy. Kheer was a bit disappointing as it was too heavy. I actually paid in advance for firni and was later told they don’t have it so I just took kheer as an alternative that I didn’t want. They should have checked if firni was available before charging me. Overall I think they can do much better with some adjustments like better communication and making the chapli better.

Great place. I absolutely love the samoas love the grilled meat!! Ugh I just love it! Everything is fresh and always so good!! My favorite is the lamb with rice for the platters and Don’t even get me started on the host Sara!! She was so welcoming and very warm! Love this place!!
