System glitch and can’t take orders 10 minutes before close? They’re just doing pickup orders. How convenient. I specifically didn’t order ahead becaue the price difference was like $2. I even said all I wanted was a shake…nothing crazy.

Overall not great experience, mistakingly ordered the wrong drink on a kids meal and the GM got upset when I asked if I could change it and he had an issue with it due to the ticketing system for the drinks. Ordered shakes after our meals were done, received one of them with hair on top of it and swiftly brought it to his attention, ignored me for about 5 minutes while standing there and saying excuse me sir and he had a NASTY attitude and yelled in the back to make a new one while completely dismissing the issue.

Hadn’t been here in a few years. Decided to come back today and was quite surprised. Staff weren’t the nicest, but were still nice. The floor isn’t super clean, and has actually never been. Otherwise, tables were clean and food was very delicious. Fries were better than I remember (especially the seasoning), and the Frisco melt is definitely worth getting again. Electronic ordering is strange; there are no waiters, and you have to scan a QR code on your receipt to activate the soda fountain which is strange but the future is now I guess. Glad this restaurant is still around, I’ll definitely be back.

Kinda sad feeling. I had to ask for things that I ordered and the server from the kitchen was kind of standoffish. The other server with the piercings was super awesome. She made it worth it. Food was fine but not as good as it used to be. Ordering on the kiosk is dumb but it’s not their fault. The higher ups at steak and shake probably have no clue what’s going on at the street level and likely think AI everything is the answer like most out of touch c-level execs. Milkshake was good.

Snowed in employees opened the doors for us on NYE. Made a quick order of a triple steak burger & fries, my partner got the Frisco Melt. Both orders were delicious. We are conservatives and we choose to spend our money with businesses that support Conservative values. STEAK N SHAKE does just that.

If you’re looking for a great place to dine out, look no further than Steak n Shake on Coldwater! I recently visited their restaurant and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service, cleanliness, and overall quality of my experience.
Two years ago, I had a negative experience at this restaurant, but this time around, everything was amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the kitchen and dining areas were spotless. The food was hot and prompt, and the cook even went out of their way to suggest an alternative seasoning when I asked for the chili sauce they use to have.
I had the pleasure of chatting with the staff after my meal, and they were all incredibly enthusiastic about their location. One employee in particular stood out, proclaiming that this was the best Steak n Shake around – and after my experience, I have to agree! There was a unique level of camaraderie in there that is hard to find in fast food.
One minor issue I had was that I couldn’t add pickles to my burger, but the cook went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied by hooking me up with some extras. It’s little touches like this that really make the difference.
All in all, I was blown away by my experience at Steak n Shake. The staff was attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. I even ordered a second Frisco burger for my wife because it was just that good. If you’re looking for a great dining experience, I highly recommend giving Steak n Shake a try – you won’t be disappointed!

Awful experience, I went on my birthday and was going to redeem a shake. They had already made the shake when I went to give them my coupon for it, and they had to get the manager for whatever reason. Now, during this time we had been waiting 10 minutes and the manager closed the window and proceeded to ignore us. Another 7 minutes had gone by and we were waiting confused until WE had to ask what was going on. The guy said that the manager had told us to pay even though we weren’t told anything. We left and they gave us no shake and had rather had wasted it and trashed it. I guess they’d rather throw it away than let me use it. Thanks Steak’n Shake, for ruining my birthday!!! P.S. hire better staff and management!

Today’s visit was unlike no other of my prior visits to S & S.
The manager & employees that we interacted with , were ALL VERY FRIENDLY!
Our & were very hot & fresh just the way that they’re intended to be and our Vanilla Coke actually had vanilla in it!
Today’s visit was pleasant reminder of there still being this thing called, “excellent customer service”.
You know, just like it used to be, back in the ‘olden days’!
So, thank you so much for providing us with a great meal as well as actual smiles from the staff working on a Friday afternoon at the Coldwater Rd location.

I ordered a meal online and went in to pick it up. While waiting, I noticed a female cook pausing cooking and taking time to send text messages while wearing the same gloves she was cooking in. Once finally done texting, she went back to cooking in the SAME gloves! So I requested a refund and never got the food. They claimed to not know how to refund me. I’ve been calling for days and submitting contact forms and even completed a survey, but still NO RESPONSE from them! I’m still waiting on my money back! I will never eat there again. They obviously don’t know how to be sanitary OR how to prioritize.
