The food was incredible. The cheese, from the burrata to the Parmesan, seafood (octopus and swordfish), and pasta were all unusually high quality and well cooked.
The wait staff were friendly and attentive, removing plates when needed without interrupting conversation and offering water and wine refills when appropriate. Eddy checked in several times without being overbearing and offered food and drink recommendations.
The interior was beautiful, intimate, and cozy. There was even a Christmas brass quintet that came in and played music (I don’t think they were affiliated with the restaurant).

it was such a cute little place to go for valentine’s day or any day. they had the place decorated for valentine’s day and it was such a nice atmosphere to be in. the food was so good, probably the best food i’ve ever had. the gnocchi and mashed potatoes just melted in your mouth. the service was great too, they didn’t interrupt your experience or conversation by coming over a lot. there was a chef in the window making pasta when we were leaving, it was so cute!

I stopped in for lunch while craving Italian food, and first of all, the food was good. A bit generic..but overall good. The black spaghetti with crab meat was a pleasant surprise. The pasta was lightly dressed with a lemon drizzle, and the crab was well seasoned. At $32, it’s on the pricey side, but given the Little Italy location, that was expected.
What really hurt the experience was the bill. There was an unexpected 2.99% surcharge for paying with a credit card. In the city cash-preferred places actually skip taxes, while OB charges you both taxes AND a 3% “convenience fee”? This felt like gouging. It was a reminder that this spot leans more toward the touristy side of Little Italy. Will not return.

Juancito at Osteria Barocca is an absolute star. Attentive without hovering, confident without being pushy, and every recommendation was spot on. He made the entire experience feel effortless and special, like you were genuinely being taken care of. Perfect timing, great energy, and true hospitality. Osteria Barocca is amazing, but Juancito takes it to another level. Ask for him.

First time here on a date with a friend who is about to move away from NYC. We have previously had adventures in Little Italy and this one is definitely at the top of the list. Our interactions with the staff were top notch. Our server, Don, was marvelous. The baked clams were to die for and the black spaghetti with crab meat was everything. The Limoncello Martini’s paired excellently with our meals.

As someone who enjoys Italian food, this place did not disappoint. I went here for a birthday dinner during the summer. The interior was cozy. A bit on the tighter side, which could be due to the side of my party. Hospitality was amazing, and the staff was very friendly. As an appetizer, I got the Heirloom Burrata. I was a bit disappointed to get cherry tomatoes, but the dish itself was great. As my entrée, I got the Lobster Ravioli. This dish was amazing, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delicious. I definitely recommend coming here

The food disappointing, it was rather bland and basic. We ordered the eggplant rollatini, it was cold as if it was sitting in the kitchen by a window! The spaghetti and meatballs tastes super bland and the pasta was undercooked, not Aldane. The fettuccine Alfredo was also extremely bland. The spinach was also cold. The only good thing was the wine and cocktail, maybe they should just stick to being a bar! This food was disappointing and way overpriced for such an experience.

The pasta was fresh and the sauce was delicious, definitely a highlight of the meal. The atmosphere was what you’d expect in Little Italy. Upon waiting for our food, our server offered us still or sparkling water. However, we were surprised to find a $20 charge for two bottles of still water, which was never disclosed beforehand. It left a sour note on an otherwise enjoyable meal. Overall, the food was very good, but the unexpected charge made the experience feel less welcoming and more of a tourist trap

Food was amazing, no denying that. The seafood we had was delicious and the pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly. That being said, if you are going to get a dish off the specials menu for just yourself, make sure you ask for the price beforehand. It is nothing out of the ordinary for a restaurant to have expensive specials, but just remember you’re in NYC. If you think it’s going to be remotely cheap, you’d be mistaken. Honestly, my favorite part was the expeditious water service. We were all parched from a long day, and they were absolutely on it about making sure we always had more. Drinks were also an arm and a leg too in typical NYC fashion…and I thought Boston was expensive…
