Ordered lunch through the drive through and the manager in charge of the position, She was very rude and had zero customer service skills. She rushed the whole process in an unnecessary way and she at one point told me to hurry up and let me tell you I was not taking my time. I asked for a triple burger with no cheese, no pickles or onions and she had the audacity to have attitude because of that. And the order was wrong. And the sweet tea that was ordered was unsweetened. Also at one point she told me to hold on like I was the problem! I only order 4 things for myself, my fiancée, and my two kids. Seriously, if you can’t handle working in fast food look for another job. I worked in the restaurant business for 20 years and I would run circles around her all day while still being kind to ALL MY CUSTOMERS! AND GETTING ALL THEIR ORDERS CORRECT. NEVER GO HERE!!!!

Very good food for a very good price!! I ate inside for the 1st time on this visit because I just wanted some alone time. I was able to peruse their kiosk as I was placing my order & saw that they had onion rings as well, so I added those instead of fries & they were absolutely great, hot & fresh & the price was decent too. The staff was friendly & my visit was very pleasant.

Went on my lunch break to grab a frisco melt and cheese fries. Didn’t get the cheese when was no big deal. Rolled back around asked for the cheese and the manager who was working the drive thru immediately was angry with me. I apologized and tried to be very courteous with her as she seemed to be having a rough day. I stated that I asked for cheese fries and then she replied that I did not and that it would be $1.30 for the cheese. Again not a big deal. I asked her what I did wrong to make her so mad and she just ignored me. I told her she was being mean for no reason and then asked for a manager. She cut me off and ignored me. I had to pull around again to get her to speak to me. When I pulled up the window she was visibly angry. I asked for the manager and she explained that she was and she isn’t going to talk to me. She also stated that I was “talking to her crazy earlier” because I was trying to figure out why she was being so aggressive. I asked her again what was going on and why she was being so aggressive and she got even more aggressive and yelled “sorry, S O R R Y!!” (Spelled it for me like I was stupid and then slammed the window in my face and refused to speak to me.
I’ve been coming to this Steak ‘n Shake my whole life. When I was in high school (a long time ago lol) this is where we would always meet up to eat. We even had a “regular” order here with the serve staff. Now that I’m a lot older and in a corporate job, I still stop by here for lunch and it’s super nostalgic because all the great memories I’ve had in this building. I took my wife out to dates here in high school lol. To make matters worse I just got terrible news that a family member had passed 5 minutes before coming here. Was coming to get some greasy food and a shake to burry some feelings. Got yelled at and the window slammed in my face. Worst food experience of my life and ruined an icon of my childhood.

Real‑Time Drive‑Thru Feedback — 02/03/2026, Approximately 5:35PM. The drive‑thru employee was rude, curt, and repeatedly talked over us while we tried to place our order. We could not complete our order and ultimately left the restaurant because of her behavior. SHE DID NOT LET US COMPLETE OUR ORDER. She should not be in a customer‑facing role without focused training on soft skills, customer service training, communication skills including active listening, and PROFESSIONALISM.

Worst Steak N Shake I’ve been to. 30 minute wait for two shakes. Clearly didn’t clean machine between uses; could obviously taste the other shake flavor in my shake. Place was a mess. Awful.

Older woman was very disrespectful. I’m guessing her and her daughter works here. They’re cursing very loud. They’re serving patties sitting in a bowl instead of dropping them fresh. The place is very dirty. Does not change gloves which cause cross contamination. Got mad because I accidentally through my receipt away. Very rude environment. Please stay away from this place.

Overall I like your food. But there are some things that they often don’t read the reviews of the food that the customers order. Something is missing or doesn’t come as ordered. I will never go back here again. The grilled meat is round and the pieces are very small, unlike before when it was grilled flat. It looks more delicious now.

I love Steak and Shake fries so when they give me bad ones it’s very disappointing. They seem to be slipping in making sure everyone gets fresh food just cooked. That was a quality that made them stand out. I don’t mind waiting for good food. This time it was amiss.

The food was good. Place was clean. The woman on the grill wearing a red shirt and black apron, she was extremely rude and dismissive. I had questions about placing a mobile order and she just pointed to the kiosk and mumbled something. I said excuse me and she went to drive thru and never came back to me. I had to place my order on the kiosk.

Spent $29 dollars on food that couldn’t even be eaten. Even had to wait 5 minutes on chicken tenders that tasted freezer burnt or out of date or some such crap. Not edible. This is the like third time, I will not be returning. I have tried it in the morning ( this last time when only my cherry coke and shake were edible), midday and in the evening. Don’t waste your money
