I don’t like that they no longer have waitresses, but will ask u if u want to leave a tip. Who is the tip for? The cook? I will miss the more personable atmosphere of having a waiter/waitress coming to the table, taking your order, and then delivering what you ordered.

Used to really like Steak ‘n Shake, but I don’t think I’ll be going there ever again. It used to be a cool place to eat in. Now it feels like a big vending machine. Don’t like the ordering kiosks, and the people who work there act like you’re invisible, or that you’re bothering them if you want to aks a question. When finally, someone acknowledge my existence and helped l could have made the food myself. I just remember how those guys behind the counter looked at me when I said excuse me, then completely ignored me! Horrible customer service!

Ordered at the drive thru. 1 meal with burger and fries. 2 premium shakes. I got the Reese’s cups shake and my son got the mint Oreo. The shakes were 5 dollars, the mix-ins were lacking, but the quality was better than a Mc Donald’s shake. I would rank it close to getting a shake from united dairy farmers. Size was 18 oz. Was it worth 5 dollars to me? I would have been more comfortable paying 4 for it unless it had more “stuff” in it.

Very inattentive staff. I had to ask for a shake I had paid for. I had to ask for the drink cups to be refilled. The kiosk order station asked for a tip. This is ridiculous as tips are paid to waitresses. We ordered our own food, seated ourselves, retrieved our own food from the counter. The food was good once we got it.

My son and I went on a date and were excited to see that the dining room was open! You walk in, order at the kiosk, then sit down at any table and get your own drinks! The restaurant was clean, our meals were delicious, and it was a very positive experience. We plan on going back soon!
