I had to split this review down the middle. The french fries here are delicious, and so are the shakes and the burgers. All food was cooked to Perfection and the staff was friendly and courteous. The reason it only got three stars is because the cleanliness of the place, both of the men’s bathrooms toilet was stopped up and had fecal matter in it, it was 11:30 in the morning so I know they had time to look at it. Everything in the place felt sticky. I am still debating whether I will return or not, and if I do, it would be through the drive-thru.

We usually only use the drive though. Orders come out quickly and are hot and fresh. Milkshakes are yummy and there are several flavors to choose from. If you go inside there is a kiosk to order from. My recommendation is the Frisco melt, but the steak burgers are delicious, too. Price wise, Steak N Shake is one of the few places you still get a good meal for the money.

They should probably clean over the grills though, they look like they have not been cleaned in months, the next grill over was not used as much.
Employees were friendly.
If you are in a wheelchair, or have a walker, or stroller, the front door is a bit difficult to navigate, especially when they only have one side of the front doors unlocked.
Found it quite odd the handicap spaces are on the side of the building. Food pickup is at the front.

Update, 2025. To go ordered online was told it and be ready at 1:07 p.m., it’s now almost 1:30 and it doesn’t even appear that they are cooking it. Something happened with management, this place needs irresponsible and poorly managed
This place needs to be the most popular burger joint in the area! Did you know that they don’t have hormones in their beef? I don’t even work for these people and I want everyone to go here. I’ve been to many restaurants all across the United States of America, fast food and fancier. These burgers are amazing! You have the classic gorgeous interior, as well as well made food, for a very decent price. I highly recommend checking out steak ‘n shake next time you want a burger. All the chemicals and all of the other fast food restaurants are going to make you pay dearly later in life

This specific location did leave something to be desired for cleanliness though; not real dirty at all, but the tables weren’t being cleaned very often.

Worst location ive ever been to. Very disorganized and uninviting. They’ll lose track of your order and try their hardest to ignore you and the ones forced to interact with customers at a point have such contempt in their attitude its ridiculous. The way I saw the cook speak to another customer was wildly disrespectful. 0/10 wont be back here anytime soon. EDIT: I went back. I love steak n shake so I had to try again but got the same results. Slow service. Wrong food. And when I mentioned this is a consistent issue I was essentially told they dont need my business by the manager. I live about as close as one can to this location and ill drive all the way to huber heights from now on. Thats how bad this location is

I placed more order inside but it was a to go order. They have several kiosks that take cash and card for payment which is very helpful. Their milkshakes are so good. The service was fast and friendly. The seating area was bright and clean.

Would not go again. Expected their traditional sit-down restaurant format with a waitress taking our order. Now it’s stand-up and manually order on a kiosk with an extremely limited menu. Too slow to be considered “fast food” and compete with Wendy’s, KFC, Taco Bell, etc. Looking for a niche and failing miserably at both these. Kiosks with nobody else around to take your order or help is not appealing to many people over 60.

Food tasted fine. They used to cut the Frisco melt diagonally but I guess they don’t anymore. The fries were lackluster. My husband’s bacon on his burger was undercooked and super salty. Everything is ordered by kiosk when you come in. No wait staff anymore. Seems like the crowds have gone.

Burger was dripping grease like a waterfall and staff were short. Set my drink on the counter and threw the straws at me. Awful experience and awful food. This place has taken a turn for the gutters and hopefully will be replaced by a restaurant worth my money.
