This place needs to be the most popular burger joint in the area! Did you know that they don’t have hormones in their beef? I don’t even work for these people and I want everyone to go here. I’ve been to many restaurants all across the United States of America, fast food and fancier. These burgers are amazing! You have the classic gorgeous interior, as well as well made food, for a very decent price. I highly recommend checking out steak ‘n shake next time you want a burger. All the chemicals and all of the other fast food restaurants are going to make you pay dearly later in life

Food tasted fine. They used to cut the Frisco melt diagonally but I guess they don’t anymore. The fries were lackluster. My husband’s bacon on his burger was undercooked and super salty. Everything is ordered by kiosk when you come in. No wait staff anymore. Seems like the crowds have gone.

You have to place your order on a kiosk, so there is really no service to rate. The food was good and hot. The eating area was dirty. We were there at dinner time and the only ones there, but the tables were not washed and the floor was very dirty. Hope they can get cleaner environment, because nice place to eat.

Corporate skimmed out all the good things about this place. 3 poor souls working/killing themselves and being very nice while doing it. We had to order on a screen, the drinks all come in styrofoam, no more glass milkshake glasses. The mint chip shakes don’t even have mint anymore. The floor was so slick we were literally skating in our tennis shoes, even in the bathroom. Not enough people working to keep things clean I’m guessing. So sad to see this happen.

It’s was kiosk only. It smelled bad for some reason. Staff mostly was not attentive Whatsoever. It was just a gross bad experience. It’s just like ” get them out as fast as possible” it’s sad to see because I love steak and shake but almost all in the Dayton Ohio area have been shut down or skeleton crew.

Always good food. They were short-staffed, but managed to get orders out in a reasonable time considering they were busy – those kids were cranking! Good service, clean restaurant.

The employees were very hard there. And for the most part I received what I ordered. But I had not been there in a while and so I had this nostalgic memory of eating there. But that did not happen because it was an order that I chose to go. I did not have one of their wonderful shakes but I’m sure they are just as wonderful as I remember.

A friend and I enjoyed a late supper last night, Monday night. The atmosphere was quiet and the music volume wasn’t overly loud. Grilled cheese, Steakburger, fries and onion rings were ample, hot, fresh and tasty. However, our experience was overwhelmed by their cold dining room. The air conditioning there is always too cold when I go there on summer evenings. Bring a sweater just in case you need it.

This place has gone way downhill. Today will be our last visit to this establishment. Ordered a butter burger and received a hamburger with a glop of hard butter on it, not melted at all. The pickles were bad, the tomatoes were old, the chili was watery and definitely does not taste the same. The establishment was dirty and needs cleaned severely. Won’t be surprised if this place don’t close down in the next couple years. Not worth the money.
