It’s been a while since I’ve been to Steak ‘n Shake so I decided to stop by. The wait time wasn’t much, and we had our food before long, which was very good. The service was pretty good too, and the waiter always came to check up on us. The kiosks were good and worked, overall very great would come again.

Haven’t been here in years, management must have changed because the food was good as always but the service has been really quick. We went for dinner one night last month, it was so good we have been back for lunch 3 more times in the past 30 days and every time it has been consistently good. Keep it up, as a small business owner myself I totally understand that you are only as good as your team. That’s why I try to take great care of our people. I’m not a big French fry person unless they’re really good, the new oil makes the fries amazing. Great job!

It’s been a minute since I’ve eaten at Steak’n Shake, and this will be my last time. Now the only option is ordering at the kiosk and there are no servers. Seems for the price they charge for a simple burger, maybe staff should be included. And then after ordering at the kiosk it has the blatant audacity to ask if you want to tip.

Tip who? The cook for doing his job?? Because no one went out of their way in serving us. Well, because there is no one now.

I started going back after they made changes and food had become really good again. Except this visit the fries tasted pre-made and the burger was cold, only could eat a portion of meal before having to throw away. Hope they dont slide back into old ways.

The staff were very nice, but most of the process is automated (orders are placed on kiosks). One of the employees checked in multiple times to make sure we were doing well, which was very thoughtful. The one thing that I didn’t love was one employee who kept yelling into the microphone to announce orders. Both customers and other employees physically jumped multiple times because the employee was so loud

Food is mid at best for how pricey it is. Fountain drink tickets are a ridiculous abomination that make me HATE coming here. They always forget the sauce. No workers to help you, but now they have this annoying person who’s only job is to clean up or bother you when you walk in the door. My least favorite restaurant in town.

Everything was great! It was clean and well kept up inside. The food was great (loving the tallow fries) and the service was excellent and personable. The past few years I’ve noticed most S and S that I’ve been to was the exact opposite. But this one was exactly what I remembered when I first went as a kid.

At Lancaster Ohio location. During the day when I get Steak ‘n Shake the food and drinks and milkshakes are always amazing. Whenever I get Steak ‘n Shake during the night shift (has been twice now) the food is just reheated and not made fresh. I gave them a second chance and the night shift consistently fails to provide fresh, quality food. I spent $30 for two people and the quality of food I received was not worth that amount of money. My wife had something on her burger that had a very bad strong taste and she spit it out (looks like some type of green leaf, see attached picture) Our drinks tasted watered down. The manager for this store needs to hire people like Alice that works during the day. Alice is the best employee at Steak ‘n Shake. Lazy people with no work ethic work at night and do a terrible job. Who knows how nasty that kitchen gets at night because of how lazy the night shift is. Horrible experience with the night shift twice now. The night shift does not care about the customer.

Took my daughter’s out for lunch and had a great experience! Restaurant was very clean and the staff was so nice and helpful!
