Social Profile:

Steak ‘n Shake, a classic American brand, was founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois by Gus Belt who pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milkshakes. For over 85 years, the company’s name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word steak stood for steakburger. The term shake stood for hand-dipped milkshakes. Gus was determined to serve his customers the finest burgers and shakes in the business. Today, Steak ‘n Shake remains the better burger leader, serving premium 100% beef steakburgers, hand-dipped milkshakes, thin crispy fries, and more. Steakburgers are made without preservatives or artificial ingredients, topped with fresh produce, and always hand-crafted to order.

Chain known for steakburgers & milkshakes offering a dinerlike space with retro flair.

We were glad we stopped in when visiting some friends in the area. Ben really made sure we were taken care of. He gives wonderful customer service. We need more people like him in our world. Had fun at weeki wachee this morning.

The food was fantastic. Julianna was a great hostess. The kiosk are simple to use and the service was quick. The ONLY reason that I took one star off atmosphere is no soap in the soap dispenser and bathrooms could be just a little cleaner, but they were NOT terrible. Great place!

What a wonderful lunch experience. The burgers were great the f r i e s delicious and the milkshakes dreamy. Service was fantastic. Especially Ben who was very attentive and very helpful to all of the customers. He kindly helped us with our order on the touch screen machine which could be very confusing. He made sure that all the tables were clean and stopped at each table to make sure all of the customers were happy with their food. We will be back soon.

The only complaint walking in off the street, never having gone to a Steak ‘n Shake was having to figure out what to do. Upon quick inspection, I realized I needed to use their kiosk to place my order. I can see how this could be intimidating to anyone who hasn’t used one yet. But since their menu isn’t overwhelming, it was fairly easy. I had to cancel some items and move them into a meal once I realized it was possible (and cheaper). But otherwise the food was made fresh as soon as the order was placed, and was delicious! The birthday cake milkshake is definitely worth getting if rainbow sprinkles make your day 🙂

I would really like it if somebody could explain to me why there is a spot to enter tip on the self service registers.

A major part of the appeal of coming to steak ‘n Shake was the service, having a waiter, and having a register person. I’m also very upset that the prices on the food have not gone down considering you’ve relieved half of your staff of having a job in favor of electrics and having us do our work for you. The touchscreen froze while I tried to place my order. I have to scan a QR code to have a beverage.. is the DISNEYWORLD?! What in the AI nightmare is this?

The appeal of coming to steak and shake was the service. Now it’s just overpriced shoestring fries.

The employees working ( the few left I assume) were nice though.

One of the best burger chains I ever had in the US!! The burger, the fries, the shake. Everything was just perfect!! The order was freshly made one-by-one and served hot. I honestly like it better than ShakeShacks and In-n-out

Ordered $116 worth of food on doordash to only get half of our order which ended up being cold with the fries and onion rings 1/4 full. Doordash was quick and helpful however we won’t be eating at Steak n Shake again whether its dine in or take out. Severely disappointed in a chain that used to be amazing. Do better people!!!

The all digital no human contact is ridiculous they make it hard for the older customers to order. I won’t return. The food was good but the service sucks!

Last time I pik’tup my order I had ordered thru the App.
When I got there, I expected 2C my order inthe pickup area but it wasn’t. I wanted to tell some1 that I was there, tho, no1 but the burger guy(he was super bizy) was up front, so I decided to w8 a few. After 15 minutes some1 was available 2ask & they ask’t what I ordered.
It took an additional 10min 4it 2B redy, nearly 40minz when it should have B’n redy when I came in.
When I got home, 10 minz L8r, I noticed the order was wrong & the shakes where melted.
When I cald, they what’d me2 comeback in, which, unless I was still inthe area & in my car, I would’v.
As it was, I was sit’comfortable @home alredy, which I told them and they hung up.
So I fixed them myself, put fries in air fryer, shakes in freezer, & put more lettuce, tomato, mayo & mustard on them.
Why have a pikup spot if when the order should be redy they don’t Uzit?
I normally wouldn’t say so much but this happens 25% uvthe time. This time was the worst.
As long as I Uz the drive thru 8/10X it’s OK.
