I almost died! And steak ‘n Shake could care less had me on the phone for 10 minutes as my throat was closing up because they decided to mix peanut M&Ms in my supposed to be Oreo shake like it’s said on the receipt and the bag it even had tiny Oreo on top. I don’t know if they ran out or what But this is deadly. I could hear them talking in the back about me being on hold to speak to a manager And no One ever came. My mom even called because I Was being taken care of in the hospital and no one ever picked up the phone. The people running this place and the people working there need to be gone. I am so lucky to be alive, but they could care less and people are going to Die if they eat there. If you have any type of allergy at all, avoid this place. This should’ve never happened at all.

MANAGER ALERT!!!! Rude woman informed us that dining room was closed even though the sign on door and online say midnight and there were people getting orders filled inside at 11… kinda large rude white with glasses and brown here … rude taking our order in drive thru as well. Driving back from Atl for Christmas and didn’t want to try to have 4 people eat in the car! Now we’ve been waiting in the parking lot for our food for freaking ever! Wish we could cancel and leave. Love their fries. However, today was a trade gym at best! The freaking supersize fry 1.50 upgrade is a joke, only halfway full. Just a regular size in a glorified container and cold! Tried calling the store several times and no answer.

We ordered burgers and fries and were accommodated with a high level of hospitality. Storm went above and beyond to make sure we had our custom order done right and he made sure we were satisfied with everything, I can’t wait for steak and shake to go seed oil free on the buns as well.

Visited this location about 45 min before closing, I was amazed at the service/friendless I was given by will. Most fast food workers are burnt out and just going through the motions at that hour. Super refreshing to see him grinding providing excellent service. Literally the only reason I’m leaving a review.

I know everyone has to ‘Do what works for them’ And 4½ stars to your crew at Wells location. Once we received service, they handed us what was missing. Like the chili on my $14 Hotdog meal Also, Idk if You, Walmart ect… Specifically, Direct the employees to avoid customers altogether!? Is that a Retail Secret,Thing? Idk Very impersonal. Called tonight to make sure the 24 hour listing was correct. Guy could barely explain the time. I asked to make sure again and he mumbled something, and then hung up on me. I called 3 more times to see what the closing time is. Wouldn’t answer and answered twice just to hang up.
We will go to another location and won’t ever return to this. Isn’t this a franchise and someone paid to own and operate this location. Sad for an employee to do this. It was 9:45 pm on Friday night. February 28th.
Came in anyways and the front door was locked just after 10pm for dine in. Will post photo to show dirty tables and door hours posted which states open until 2 am inside.
I guess if the manager isn’t here then it’s a free for all job.
Even the pick up counter was streaked all over with grease. Wiping down is health dept standards. They do this at Starbucks and other places that serve food. With no one inside the donning area.

Got the garlic burger, Chili fries and a Coke. Over $12. I normally love steak ‘n Shake in my home area. This location is Awful. I would’ve really appreciated some napkins and utensils in the bag. Normally, everything is juicy and very flavorful. The fries were dry and the cheese was nasty. The hamburger was also dry and not fresh and the whole meal was a waste. Literally the best thing that came out like it normally does was the Coca-Cola. I definitely won’t be returning to this location ever. Not sure if the other two locations in Jacksonville are decent, but this location is definitely a place you should avoid!
