Had not been to a Steak Escape in at least 30 years. I must say the food was amazing. The fries may have been the best I’ve eaten. Hot, fresh, and seasoned perfectly. The steak was fantastic, great soft bun, right amount of cheese, and perfectly cooked steak. The 4 instead of 5 stars is because of wait time, I know they must cook to order and it is worth the wait, but for a fast food, quick service, fast casual, whatever you call it, if it was a drive thru, I would have liked a little quicker service. Other than that, highly recommend Steak Escape. The food will definitely fill you up, will be hot and fresh, and taste outstanding.

We ordered Philly cheesesteaks and the food was fulfilling. We also ordered a 5 piece chicken wing and fries and it never came. They fulfilled every other order except ours and we were there first. Waited over 30 minutes for a 5 piece and was given a sarcastic reply.

The restaurant wasn’t busy when we walked in so we were able to leisure chat with staff ask their opinions about what was good on the menu..I was even given a sample of the famous lemonade that Steak Escape is known for..For was excellent..delicious and hot..only reason I didn’t give all 5 stars was that the table we seat at was dirty and had to clean it up..

I ordered a grand escape with extra meat. They didn’t give me extra meat. I also ordered chicken nuggets and they were completely raw in the middle. I am pregnant and cannot eat any food that’s under cooked. I tried to call the store and make an complaint they didn’t answer the phone properly I could literally hear myself saying hello then was put on hold with no answer. I completely wasted $31. I will never go back to that location they are very unprofessional.

Came into this restaurant on 7/24/22 at 7pm. The tables were disgustingly greasy. The soda and condiment area were filthy. Employees were playing around and on their cell phones. The two cooks were using the metal spatulas to play the drums on the grill top. The noise was very distracting. I will not be returning to this establishment. I do not recommend the dine in experience. Photos are pics of the table before we sat down to eat. Grease and nastiness everywhere!!

In addition to the long wait times other reviewers have mentioned (10+ minutes for 2 sandwiches), this Flowood location was FILTHY inside. The floors were sticky, and behind the counter looks to have gone days or weeks without a real cleaning. The grill in the front was gross, and the glass separating it from customers had grease stains and smudges everywhere. The air registers over the cooking area were disgusting. There was a layer of dust on light fixtures, pipes, and basically any horizontal surface. All of this was visible to anyone walking into the building. I don’t want to think about how awful the back kitchen and prep area are where all the food was actually being made. My turkey sandwich occasionally tasted like beef, so the grill was clearly not being cleaned between orders. On top of all this, there was only one employee who wore her mask correctly. Everyone else wore it as a chin strap.
The only reason I’m not giving this location a 1-star review is because there was one employee there who seemed to actually care. She was handling nearly every drive-thru order and inside order. She was clearly frustrated at the pace of food coming out of the back and lack of competent support from her fellow employees.
My visit today was either a particularly awful day at the Flowood location, or a result of incompetent ownership/management. Something needs to change, and I won’t be back until that change occurs.
