We loved our visit here. Our server Dana was very attentive, explained in detail the special food and drinks they. He was a very great server. My girlfried had the mixed drink and the hamburger mixed with brisket that made it melt in your mouth. Best burger she has had in a very long time. I had the old fashioned of the week. I forgot the name, but it was very good. The pan seared grouper was a special dish of the week. It came with mashed potatoes, asparagus and the topping was strawberries the worked very well with the dish. You would have to try it to understand. Dana also told us they serve brunch. We will definitely be back. We enjoyed every moment there.

We had dinner here tonight. It was excellent. Antonio was our server, he was great. The food was outstanding. I had the sweet potato gnocchi and my hubby had the shrimp and grits. It was delicious. I highly recommend checking it out. Great atmosphere too!

This is a small & popular venue so made reservations for 2 outside. We arrived a bit early but since our table was reserved, we were seated right away. I jad the steak & frite ( Wagyu beef) & my boyfriend had shrimp & grits. Healthy portions & cooked perfectly. We sat outside.

Great food and impeccable service at the heart of downtown Sarasota. The beet burrata salad and the pork iberico are my personal highlights. Prices are in line with other fine dining options in the area. Very good overall experience and we want to go back to try the burgers.

Came here on a date night – the lively yet intimate atmosphere was a great setting. The food was amazing – salad had a great variety of vegetables that worked perfectly with the dressing. Catch of the day (snapper) was super fresh and on top of one of the most delicious cream sauces I’ve tried, and the cauliflower side was the perfect combination of sweet, savory, spicy and tangy. I like State Street -Not a “cookie-cutter” format-fun, diverse, eclectic offerings-high-end fresh-catch and steak offerings, but solid comfort chicken and burger sandwiches as well. Creative drink offerings with a stylish comfortable bar in case you forgot to make a reservation. We enjoyed duck wings, mushroom toast, butter leaf salads topped with salmon and chicken.

An interesting menu with very knowledgeable and pleasant servers. Everything was almost perfect in the food department.
There was an unfortunate incident with some under cooked potatoes. I explained that even I sometimes make this mistake. I offered to give the chef a quick tutorial on potato cooking but that was rebuffed.
You cut them up.
You put them in very slightly boiling water.
When they appear to be done take one out, run under cold water and taste.
