Starting in 1984 Larry & Jeanette Rogers made the move of their dreams. They loved the Ozark Mountains & while they owned their own restaurant in Lafayette, Louisiana their hearts belonged to Branson, Missouri. In 2019, after years of serving their customers, Duane their son purchased Starvin’ Marvin’s to continue the legacy.
Easygoing eatery for Cajun seafood & American comfort grub, plus buffet options throughout the day.

Service was excellent, was instantly sat and had drinks within 3 minutes. The gentleman who waited on us was very talkative and kind. Talked through a few menu options and modifications we could make. The food itself was amazing, had the crab boil with added shrimp. The corn on the cob was a little soggy because it was in the juice for a while. The food had a little too much salt, but the spice level was perfect. Price was reasonable and the environment was very calm and enjoyable.

The spread feels smaller while the price is slightly higher for what is offered. You can still find good fish and shrimp options, so seafood lovers will not be disappointed. Overall, the food is decent and the experience is okay, but the value does not particularly stand out compared to similar buffet-style restaurants nearby.

We were told about this place from another restaurant- for a Thanksgiving meal . We are visiting from out of town and didn’t want to cook a big dinner in our rental- so we went here. The food was perfect. It was buffet style all you can eat. You could tell they put a lot of effort into everything. They were all working very hard. The staff was friendly. Happy Thanksgiving & thank you for cooking (and working) for us so we could have a delicious meal.

With a Buffet named Starvin Marvin’s how can you not want to give it a try.
Good, somewhat old fashioned yet contemporary at the same time Buffet located in beautiful Branson next to many, many attractions.
The Buffet was well stocked & hot at all times & the food was definitely above average with many choices to choose from.
Prices were just slightly on the high side but well worth the visit.

I chose the gumbo, and my husband did the buffet. The gumbo was made with chicken and sausage and served with rice and came with a roll. It had a good flavor. The buffet had many choices. My husband really enjoyed the frog legs and shrimp. There were some foods not as good, such as potatoes and corn.
The waiter, Josh, was very attentive and got us refills and other needed items quickly.
Overall, it was a good experience and something a little different.

I had the buffet. Great choices with shrimp and fish, along with fresh salad. Apple cobbler for dessert was good too. Tried frog legs and were good. Great breading, and were very meaty. Not overly gamy either.

The shrimp and frog legs were excellent. I also like the baked fish and the chicken fingers were probably some of the best I’ve ever had! I wish I had had enough room to try the gumbo. But I was stuffed to the max. Our waiter was amazing as well. If you leave this place starvin, Marvin has done something terribly wrong. It’s a bit expensive but well worth it!

We were greeted as soon as we entered and seated right away. They have a menu you can order off or you can get the all you can eat buffet. We ordered a few items off the menu. The Fried Alligator was cooked to perfection and had a wonderful flavor. Our server Loraine was very attentive. The manager Sheila came by to check on us and make sure that we enjoyed our meal. We found the restaurant clean as were the restrooms. We will return as the food has a true Louisiana flavor.
