This place is always busy which is great but it gave me high hopes. I ordered french fries in the drive thru. Maybe this was a one off visit but these were poorlooking, low quality fries. Ill give it another try another time and update my review.

Okay, it’s been too long to let this go, but I used to live not far from this Starlight, walking distance as a matter of fact, was absolutely impressed with their regular burger. So much so, that I haven’t tried anything else there yet, despite the fact that it all looks good as well. Well, met a woman, married her, and moved about 17 miles away. So haven’t been there in a while. Luckily, my youngest step-daughter lives not too far from there, and I have been having to go back and visit the area more than usual lately, went back, and they remodeled making it look great, and while others have been shrinking their portions and even quality of their food, Starlight kept everything just as good as when I was there living in the area. That first burger I had on my first return was so good, I immediately ordered another one, sat there, and ate it trying not to make embarassing satisfation noises and faces. This does not happen with very many restaurants any longer! I have been there three times since! With most burgers and subpar restaurant foods, I will have cheese added, or put cheese on it myself. Not this burger. It is so good with the perfect spread of veggies, for me, mayo and ketchup, that it doesn’t need cheese or anything else! Absolutely perfect as is! And every time, they got the burger out to me faster than any other chain fast food restaurant. Amazing burger experience!

2/16/26: came to Starlight Burger in Edinburg cuz my friend (Leo) swears up and down that it’s the best. So far it’s only time he has been right about a place. The flavor was way better. Service was better and the atmosphere was better. No pictures cuz it was that good

Comfortable spot to enjoy your meal or take to go. Food is always amazing, made with love and pretty fast! The staff are friendly as well. Place has been here since I was a kid and I will continue to order from here as long as it’s open.

Been hitting up Star-lite in Edinburg off 107. I’ve tried their regular burger, steak burger, onion rings, and burritos… service never fails to be quick, efficient, and the food is deceivingly simple looking but packed full of flavor.
This is the fish sandwich from today…looks fairly innocent until you take the first bite. Check the ratio of fish to bread…and it had 2 filets on there as well. I love tartar, here they go with mayo, which also pairs well with the fish burger. Nicely cooked…the right amount of crisp on it, and very fairly priced. Where else do you find a fish burger for about $6? The answer…no where else.
And there was some talk on here about burritos…well I’ve been digging these burritos since my childhood, over 30 years ago. I remember my parents taking me to eat burritos here as a child, well there’s a reason why this location has lasted this long to where I can now take my own kids for a burrito. They are nicely fried, have plenty of filling, and are not dried out. Take notes Stripes…this is how burritos are done.
This is an Edinburg staple for a reason…5/5 stars.

I’ve eaten at Starlight for over 40 years. These last few years have not been very pleasant!
My last two orders have been wrong, period!
As well, the chicken doesn’t taste as good as years past. I can get over the dry taste, but the orders being wrong, I’m not!!

This place is known for their chicken!! Chicken is always golden brown, very tender, always crispy, and very juicy. Great overall taste. I would say it’s better than KFC, churches, and any other franchise out there. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. If you haven’t eaten here, then you have more problems than you think. This is a must try if you’re visiting the Edinburg area.

went through drive through TWO separate times and the workers were so rude kept rushing me and didn’t even ask what drink i wanted for my meal just said “OK”. the other time they they rushed me again and when i said my order they said my total and i wasn’t done ordering . NEVER coming here again so rude and it wasn’t even busy for them to be acting this way. DONT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE 0/10
