Stopped into Starlite Café in Alpena for the classic breakfast, swapping the toast for a slice of French toast—and it was worth it. The hashbrowns were light and crispy, scrambled eggs buttery and perfect, and the sausage links packed great flavor. The French toast was delicious, but the real surprise was the cinnamon toast I ordered on the side—the bread itself had a cinnamon swirl baked right in, far exceeding my expectations. Cozy spot, great food, and thoughtful touches that make a difference.

Very good, we had a blt with fries and coffee, 2 eggs & bacon & hashbrowns. It was the day after Thanksgiving “black Friday” they were busy but got a table right away. One waitress for the whole place, she did everything, even cleaned the tables and cashed out people. She did great!

I just had a surgery that makes it difficult to swallow during the healing process (nissen fundoplication). I’ve been eating baby food for 2 weeks. We came to this restaurant and there was nothing in the menu that would work, but I described my needs and they were VERY supportive. I ate moist scrambled eggs with a little cheese and sausage gravy (they even sifted out the chunks of sausage). It was the most glorious meal I’ve had in weeks and I couldn’t have been happier. What incredible and caring people!!! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!! Highly recommend this very caring and accommodating establishment!

Recently found this place and it is a gem. The food was perfect and the special was interesting and delicious. Yes, the food took a moment to arrive because this cafe isn’t fast food or out of a Gordons bag. I’m not sure how they made the sausage gravy but it was the best. Even the jam for my toast was homemade, raspberry and I think sage or thyme…don’t care it was so good. I will be driving from Atlanta just to come here again. Also, the service was friendly and checked on us several times so we were never out of coffee 🙂

When this place first opened they had very few places to sit. Took forever to get the food we ordered. Fast forward a year….nothing has changed. Longest wait ever for the food. I do not recommend this place. You could go buy food, take it home prep and cook before you get anything here.

First time here and the food was bangin, server was extremely nice and treated us well and the prices were really good. $30 for a whole lunch? Unheard of. Definitely coming back to bust down.

Very clean and airy cafe. You may have to wait a few minutes for your food but that’s because it is real and fresh food that us prepared to perfection. We went two days in a row for breakfast. I can honestly say this is THE best quality food I have had while eating out for a very long time. The delicious food was worth the wait at this family ran cafe. Our server was so nice.

We were traveling around Michigan and stopped in for a late breakfast. Wow, the service was great, the food was prepared so well I had to ask if the kitchen chef had formal training, eggs were perfect, hash browns w/onions amazing. In our world of fast and fried food this restaurant stands out as an oasis of good taste.

The experience my family had was by far the best experience we have ever had. The food was outstanding. The flavor was amazing. You definitely get your money’s worth. Now that I’m done with the food experience now to move on to te staff. When we walked in we where greeted with smiles and kindness. The environment was beautiful. This is a must go to restaurant. We’ll definitely be going back again. I wanted to also thank the family for such a wonderful experience. If I could give more then 5 stars I would in a heart beat. 10/10
