First time visit. Stopped in early on the way to the airport for a quick bite and a cup of coffee. Everything went well and we enjoyed our coffee, bacon and eggs. Was easy to get to off the prospect Park exit. I would come back again.

I had a great meal at Stargate Diner! The interior is much nicer than you’d expect from the outside — very clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff seemed genuinely happy, and the whole vibe of the place was positive and welcoming. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to friends.
The only small issue I had was with the way I read the menu. I ordered two eggs with bacon and asked to add corned beef hash. I saw a note on the menu that said “add corned beef hash for $1.99,” so I thought that meant I was simply adding it to the plate for $1.99. But I later realized that $1.99 is the substitution cost — to swap the bacon or sausage for corned beef hash. What I ended up ordering was a full side of corned beef hash at $5.99 in addition to the bacon.
That’s completely on me — I misread the menu — but I do think a little more clarity could help avoid confusion. Maybe the wording could be changed slightly, or staff could double-check with customers who order that way. When the bill came, I was surprised by the extra charge, but not enough to make a fuss over it — just something to note for next time.
Overall, though, this place is excellent. Don’t let the outside fool you — the inside is fantastic, and the food and service are top-notch. A real hidden gem. Five stars!

I was visiting Philly and my friend who lives in this area took me here AND I LOVED IT! Such a mom and pop diner feel and the food was FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!! Didn’t have the dessert from being so full but it looked amazing on the display near the host stand. Whenever I return to the area I’m 10000% going back. The chicken noodle soup Julian was perfect tempt and so damn good!!

I ordered to go two omelettes. Food was very dry and packed poorly gave no condiments like salt, pepper, butter, or jelly only ketchup for the home fries, which were equally as bland. But to top it off, I found three different hairs in my omelette. Yuck! Will definitely be my last time there.. the place at the ambience of a truckstop, more than a warm cozy diner.

I came to this diner when I got hungry while trainspotting at the train station. I got a bacon omelet with cheddar cheese and it was beyond incredible. They gave me hot sauce for it and I enjoyed it. I love the fact that the restroom uses a hand dryer (it’s better for the environment), but what I love even more is the fact that the waitresses were willing to track down a train to Center City for me. And that’s without mentioning that you can get a fantastic view of the Northeast Corridor looking out the front windows. Unfortunately, it was not easy to get here, because Ridley Township does not plow snow from the sidewalks even though they are required to under penalty of the law.

Love it, especially on a weekend when I dont feel like doing anything foods good, if you disagree I call shenanigans…. staffs friendly and ive never had a long wait anytime I’ve been for a visit. Clearly that’s all depending on the day n time you go but cant beat it if you ask me fair price, nice portions sure beats fair amount of places ive eaten lately… just showing some love for a good spot to get some grub with nice people with almost no crazy wait time… but go try for yourself dont take my word for it
