1st timer. Down here visiting on a work trip. Saw this place when driving to the Grand Isle State Park. Pulled in and was greeted by “Dana” . She was a great waitress. They had some Spinach and artichoke balls. Very Tasty. Then proceeded to order a double bacon cheeseburger. The burger was cooked perfect and was very delicious. I ordered the killer onion rings, which also came out fresh and tasted good. If i’m ever back this way, I will come here again.I definitely recommend anybody driving by to stop in and eat.

We had the seafood gumbo and seafood platter. It was pricy and the food was just ok
All the seafood was breaded and mostly cooked as is. That is cleaned but not removed from the shell. Except for the shrimp: it was shelled.
The server was nice and kept an eye for when we needed anything
I don’t know if it is expensive for this area out was more than it was worth, IMO.
They also sell burgers, but i didn’t see what they look like.

Great food and prices are average for the area. Service was amazing and I love that they have tables outside. The wait was extended because they were short handed but TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF ME. I recommend them. I ordered the 1/2 and 1/2 with shrimp and oysters. I added onion rings instead of fries.

Great little restaurant and dog friendly (on patio).
We had excellent service and food. Had the soft shell crab sandwich (pictured)and my husband the gator, which was good also.
Would recommend to anyone to stop by and try!!!

All I can say is, the server was nice. The place doesn’t have the best atmosphere, felt like a mini cafeteria. It was the only thing open that was a restaurant around the time we started looking for food. So they do have great hours. BUT!
The quality of the food was absolutely disgusting. We ordered the cheese burger, the steak (forgot the name from the menu) and the gumbo. No just no…if it’s your last resort, by all means but I will not be returning.

This place is awesome. After the long drive drive from New Orleans to Grand Isle, we had worked up an appetite. The place was busy when we got there and continued that way, but service was attentive and friendly. They definitely earned the bragging rights to the onion rings mentioned on their sign and menu. The fried chicken was some of the best we’ve ever tasted. Just note that it is battered and fried to order and takes about 20 minutes, but well worth it. Also delicious were the gumbo and the Po boys and fried pickles. A must visit!

I think they charged gratuitus twice. I have a Bud Light (3.50) and seafood Gumbo(13.00). The ticket at table had no info. I gave credit card for payment, they have me choose a tip amount (20%).
Bill charged to credit card was $26.40 for lunch. It was not a large bowl.

Decided to try the Starfish restaurant for lunch today. It’s bigger inside than it looks from the outside. The staff was very friendly. We tried the onion rings which were really good. The crab cakes were pretty good but small and in the shape of balls. The burger was fresh made and delicious. The PoBoy style burger was massive and we took half of it home. Overall a great experience and the prices were very reasonable.

My wife and I just had a great breakfast at a fantastic price. A Spanish omelette Western omelette and two coffees came to just over $27. The omelets were packed with meats, cheese and veggies.

One of the few places to eat on the island. Broad selection of good food. I had a bacon cheeseburger poboy. The French bread was good and soft but I wish the cheese was more melted and the meat was more seasoned. Decent poboy, though! The sweet tea was delicious and the staff was the highlight. The man that works there with the beach waved hair is perfection!
