I am sort of turning into a coffee nerd, thanks to my buddy Aldo. We’ve been touring different local coffee shops in Vancouver. Of course, the coffee is good at all the different places, but they all lack something. Maybe they don’t have Splenda. Maybe they have slow service. Maybe no reward program, no free refills on drip coffee, etc. This Starbucks has ALL the comforts that I like. The staff is amazing and always friendly. I order a drop coffee when I ride my bike here in the morning, and they bring it out to my table. Later they’ll ask me if I need a refill or they’ll bring me a water. Refills are free. They have Splenda. They have the little plastic stoppers if you want to take the rest of your coffee with you. They have two clean bathrooms. There’s plenty of comfortable seating including a nice outdoor patio. They have a great rewards program. And they have several drip options. And the coffee’s actually pretty darn good. The interior is warm and inviting. I realize I’m putting more money into the hands of the “big boys” but this place is AWESOME! Don’t get me wrong—I love the local coffee places and exploring new coffee shops, but this place just has all the comforts that I like. I feel appreciated, served, and, well, HAPPY. In fact, while I was sitting I hear writing this, a lovely human just asked me if I wanted any water, napkins . . . How nice.

I went to the Starbucks on 4th Plain in Vancouver few times already and honestly every visit has been pretty nice. The store itself feels very welcoming, with warm lighting and plenty of tables, not too cramped like some other coffee shops I’ve been to. The staff there always greet me with a smile even when they are super busy, and that makes a big difference. I ordered my usual iced caramel macchiato a couple times, and they always get it right – the balance of espresso and sweetness is just perfect. One time they even remade my drink without me asking just because they thought the first shot of espresso was off, which I really appreciated.
The place is usually clean, the tables wiped down quick after customers leave, and the bathroom is actually kept in good shape, which isn’t always the case at chain stores. I’ve also noticed they have a lot of regulars coming in, which tells me people feel comfortable hanging out there. I like bringing my laptop and sitting for an hour or two, the WiFi is reliable and the vibe is relaxed enough to get some work done.
Parking can be a little tricky at peak hours since the lot is shared with other shops, but honestly it’s worth circling once or twice because the service inside makes up for it. Overall I’d say this Starbucks is one of the best in Vancouver. Friendly baristas, good drinks, clean environment, and just a nice energy that keeps me coming back.

As usual the baristas at Starbucks are so attentive and nice. They have got a great business model with that. At this particular Starbucks that I am posting about, they just have an issue with all of the wooden table tops. They wipe them down regularly but the tables are covered with sticky scum all the time. Because the wooded tabletops are not finished with anything impermeable. So even if you wipe off the tables they are still coated with sticky goo. A simple fix would be to put glass table tops on top of the wood. Then you can disinfect better and the tables won’t feel sticky to the touch at all times. See picture and video of the sticky scum that is on all the tables, even though the tables are always wiped off.

My wife and I have been shopping at this locating for years matter of fact some of the employee are customers at our store we own in town. Usually we come here 2 to 2 times a day earlier in the morning my wife got her coffee today when I got up for the day she asked I I wanted to go to Starbucks and get some water since I was sick to my stomach I said yes. When I got to the drive thru I ordered a large ice water like I always do after he took my order .he said any thing else when we said no he said he could not do my order. I asked if the manager was there then she came up and she knew us I asked her was she prepared to not give me a water and me not return she continued to speak over me I will never return here ill buy my 2 coffees a day by the way they didn’t even offer to sell me water terrible service im ashamed of this place im disabled in a wheelchair and have been a regular here for my business to be disregarded and to feel not good enough is a terrible feeling

I’m not a coffee drinker so I don’t often go to Starbucks, however it’s cold and it’s one of my daughter’s birthdays and she wanted a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino, so through the drive-thru we went.
One thing you can be sure of at Starbucks is getting an excellent service offering, and in this case they didn’t disappoint. There was a slight misunderstanding on the order, but instead of making a big deal about it, they just made it right.
Well done.

I’ve been coming here for years and most of the time I have always had really nice/ friendly workers help me out! Today especially, there was the nicest most angelic girl ever working at the DT window (11:20am). I didn’t catch her name but she was so sweet! I just want to give her a shoutout because she made my day.
