Visited mid-afternoon on a quiet Saturday. My 6-year-old asked for a cup of water and was told by the cashier that a purchase was required, even though I was about to order a coffee. I ordered a latte and forgot to specify size, and unfortunately ended up with a grande instead of my usual tall since the cashier didn’t ask which size. Ontop of that, I asked for 1 pump of syrup, and that was ignored (either thru the order put in or by the barista) despite confirming the sticker indicated “1 vanilla syrup” (not sure if this was correctly input?) but the drink was so sweet I ended up having to throw it away.
It may be worth reviewing staff training or guidance on how to handle situations like this, especially when the store isn’t busy.
Starbucks took away the self-serve counter during the plandemic and it never came back. Now you have to ask and wait extra for the busy-with-online-orders staff to pass you a bag of sugar or a stirrer, which they usually forget to offer.
Pastries are way overpriced but not fresh as one would expect. The staff may only preheat them for you where applicable. Pastry is made off-site and delivered packed in cellophane bags, just like in Safeway where you can buy a dozen for similar price.
The whole starbucks business is rushed and sterile. One can tell it’s designed strictly after profit generation. One’s experience with respect to hanging out, relaxing, and enjoying your drink is not really important. Unless one is really stuck with their fancy sugary drinks with foreign names, a small local cafe delivers far better experience.
What kind of service is this????
Is this new from Starbucks????
Really????
Hopefully, this is just one time thing. I get coffee from this store every day because I work very close to.
UPDATE: uh…why ask me to share with your own Care Team. You do that.
I do not recommend for any type of reading books or working on a laptop. It is near a hole-in-the-window type of joint. Fortunately, there’s a lot of places to squat and chat in the strip mall – especially next to the Waterdog Tavern.
