This Starbucks is the closest location to Summerlin Hospital, and as someone who works in the medical field — saving lives, dealing with emergencies, and facing unimaginable stress every single day — my small daily joy is simply getting my usual coffee made correctly. It may sound simple, but when you work in a world where people are dying and families are breaking, that six-dollar drink means more than people realize.

To put this in perspective: I order the same drink every day, five days a week — a tall mocha, no room, light whip, light foam. That adds up fast. Around $30 a week, roughly $900 a month, and over $10,000 a year spent on this one Starbucks alone. I say that not to brag, but to show that my money and loyalty are real, and all I’m asking for is a correctly made drink with basic respect.

Now, let me be very clear — most of the staff here is absolutely incredible. There’s one girl in particular whose coffee-making skills are phenomenal. She knows who you are the second you pull up to the drive-thru. There’s also a young, thin blonde girl who works early mornings who is genuinely one of the sweetest, kindest people I’ve met in my 53 years. And the tall, skinny guy who works there? Also wonderful — polite, pleasant, and consistently friendly. These employees make this location worth coming to, and they truly shine.

But unfortunately, not everyone matches that level of professionalism.

There is one employee who rolled her eyes and gave visible attitude simply because the coffee was made incorrectly. There was absolutely no reason for that kind of behavior — it was unprovoked, unnecessary, and honestly disrespectful. If you don’t want to deal with customers or can’t handle the basics of customer service, then maybe this isn’t the right job. Everyone has bad days, and I’m sure she’s a nice person at heart, but that kind of attitude doesn’t belong in a customer-facing role.

I want to emphasize: I still recommend this location. It is one of the cleanest, nicest Starbucks stores I’ve visited in a long time. The majority of the staff is outstanding and deserves recognition. But customers should be aware that there can occasionally be a little attitude from certain employees.

I will update this review with the names of the two amazing girls who always get the order right — because they deserve the praise.

At the end of the day, it’s just coffee — but respect goes a long way.

Amanda S. is such a super star and leader. She single handedly managed such a hectic line and recommended the absolute best decaf drinks. We love her so much, we’ll call the Starbucks corporate line, leave yelp elite five star reviews and encourage all friends and family to go to this location. Again, she made our entire holiday season and evening. She deserves the biggest raise!!

This is a newly built Starbucks and like the other new builds under the new management, it is really fantastic, from the furniture to thoughtful design. Such a good job. The only problem I’ve seen across all Starbucks now is the new drip coffee maker, which operates on demand like some gas station coffee makers. You press a button and wait a few minutes for the coffee to brew. The problem is that the baristas attend to something else in the meanwhile and forget about the cup. So the wait for a drip coffee extends to 10-15 minutes, even when there is no one else around.. The message board says the drink is ready, but it isn’t, it is still being brewed.

The solution could be an old idea: self-serve drip coffee for walkins. Baristas would just hand out empty cups. This would lessen the load on baristas and they could focus on the more exotic drinks. Patrons can pour their own coffee, milk, and sugar.

Your typical Starbucks! This location recently opened next to the new Whole Foods. It’s larger than many other Starbucks, with a large seating area. There is some outdoor seating as well. It was very clean and well stocked when I visited. This location also has a screen to show which orders they have received, completed, etc.

My drink comes out wrong about 15% of the time. Sometimes i can’t even get customer service. I would argue that 70% of the employees are good at their job with good to amazing customer service. The rest can make your drink-ish, but have horrible customer service. The atmosphere here is very nice, customers are nice. Lots of regulars. Oh the bathrooms are clean like 95% of the time. Moderate indoor and outdoor seating quantity.

Best customer service ever received at Starbucks. From the moment we were greeted it felt so welcoming. Mike took our order and suggested we try some new stuff. He was so personable. Then Alyssa making our drink called us over to chat and told us how excited she was for us to try it. She was so sweet as well but everyone working was kind to everyone walking in. They made my day!! I hope they get celebrated and recognized for their above and stellar service. I’ll be back thank you Mike and Alyssa!

I always enjoy coming to this Starbucks because the staff here truly go above and beyond. They greet everyone who walks in, and even if some people don’t acknowledge them, they still stay professional and friendly. The team is genuinely personable and kind. It’s clear they care about creating a good experience for every customer. Yes, I can make coffee at home, but I choose to come here because of the people. Their warmth and great service keep me coming back.
