We waited in line for over 30 minutes for what seemed like rude staff once they realized they were not getting a tip for the wait time as well as their behavior at the window. Wouldn’t recommend during the holidays. I spent about $28 dollars tonight and realized I should have just taken the family to Maverick and paid less for better customer service.
I would like to extend a sincere commendation to Alex for his exceptional customer service skills, exemplified by his consistently positive demeanor and warm smile. In my experience, he is undoubtedly one of the most impressive representatives I have encountered at Starbucks. Thank you, Alex, for being an outstanding individual who makes a profound impact through your remarkable attitude and dedication.

I arrived around 1 PM to take an important business call and found a quiet spot on the patio, out of the way and respectful of the space. Midway through my call, at 1:10, a staff member tapped me on the shoulder — fully aware I was on the phone — to ask if I planned to purchase something. I said I would as soon as I finished my call. Then, just 15 minutes later, someone who appeared to be a manager interrupted me again, this time publicly and in front of other customers, reiterating that the patio was for paying customers only.
I was shocked and honestly embarrassed. I was dressed professionally, not bothering anyone, and had already indicated my intent to order. Out of respect, I still went inside to buy a coffee and keep my word. But the entire experience left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome — something I’ve never felt here before, or at any Starbucks for that matter.
I’ve always treated the staff kindly and tipped well. This experience felt less like a policy enforcement and more like a judgment call based on assumptions — and as a person of color, I can’t help but feel there was an element of profiling involved.
It’s disheartening that a place I once loved and supported for so long made me feel this way. I won’t be returning — and neither will my family, friends, clients, or employees.
