We also got a brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso. I tried it before I drove away and told them the espresso tasted burned, there was like no milk in it. I got a response of, “Have you had this drink before?” I understand the question. Especially bc shaken espressos have limited milk and aren’t as sweet & creamy as a latte. However, you know that it sounded condescending.
Clearly the employees did not want to be there that day.
As soon as I placed my order, I heard a loud, deep sigh from the barista that very clearly conveyed irritation and annoyance. She repeated my order, asked for my name, gave me my total, and immediately ended the interaction—no basic customer service, no “would you like anything else,” and no attempt to be polite. It felt like the goal was simply to get me to the window and out as fast as possible.
I never even saw the barista who took my order, as a different barista charged me and handed me my drink. While I understand that certain drinks may be popular or tedious to make, that frustration should never be taken out on the customer. As someone who currently works in customer service, I find this kind of attitude completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the writing on my cup was sloppy, rushed, and unreadable. It looked careless, as if the entire order was an inconvenience. I honestly would have preferred no writing on my cup at all rather than something that looks thrown together without any attention or pride in the work.
Customer service is a huge part of the Starbucks experience, and this location failed on that front today. Being openly irritated with a customer—especially in an empty store—is unprofessional and disappointing.
The team here is just…good. They work well together, and you can tell they actually like each other, which is rare. Even when it gets slammed with the after-school rush and there’s a line out the door, nobody’s stressed or short with people. The high school kids ordering their first complicated drink get the same patience and warmth as the regulars who’ve been coming for years.
There’s something about walking in and being met with genuine smiles, not the customer service kind, but the real ones. On rough days when I’m struggling to get work done, that makes more of a difference than I’d like to admit. I’ve watched them handle difficult situations with grace, take time with confused customers, and still manage to remember details about people’s days.
It doesn’t feel corporate here. The management clearly cares about maintaining standards, but they’ve also let this place develop its own personality. It’s more like a neighborhood spot that happens to be a Starbucks—the kind of place where you’re glad it exists in your routine.
I’ve worked from a lot of coffee shops, and most are interchangeable. This one isn’t. If you need a place to work or just want your coffee in a space that feels genuinely welcoming, this location gets it right.
What made it worse was watching them warmly greet every other customer who walked in. Smiles, small talk, “Have a great day!” — for everyone but me. I couldn’t help but wonder why I was treated so differently. I’ve never been here before, and I genuinely did nothing but show kindness.
It’s disheartening to feel invisible in a place that’s supposed to be welcoming. I truly hope the employees reflect on how their behavior affects customers, because this experience left a really negative impression.
Clean place, spacious parking lot.
