But beyond the amazing coffee, I want to thank them for something much deeper. On Friday, September 26, 2025, I experienced a really difficult situation — it started in the parking lot, but once I walked into Starbucks, a couple began yelling hurtful things at me, even using racial slurs. It was a moment that left me shaken. The Starbucks crew immediately stepped in — they asked the individuals to leave and made sure I was safe walking back to my car.
That moment reminded me that kindness and courage still exist . I can’t put into words how much that meant to me, but Thank you, Nelly, Syd, and the entire team, for your compassion, bravery, and care. You didn’t just make my coffee that morning — you made me feel seen, supported, and safe. I’ll never forget that. ❤️
My husband said, no we didn’t place it seven seconds ago.
“Well the only order I have with your name says it was placed fifteen seconds ago.”
“Okay, we didn’t place it 15 seconds ago, but that’s fine, we don’t mind waiting!” Said cheerily and with a smile because it’s the holidays, and I’m sure they’re stressed.
“Okay, well it’s going to be 7 to 10 minutes.” Said most definitely NOT cheerily… the tone was giving “please get out of my drive through.”
