Parking lot was a disaster – very hard to get in and out of. They were super busy this morning, one barista got overstimulated and asked if she could take her headset off for five minutes. Made everyone uncomfortable. Maybe they were understaffed? Not sure, but really made for an awkward Starbucks pickup. I did like their order board that showed the progress of everyone’s orders

Normally when I’m traveling, I really look forward to treating myself to Starbucks on the way home. This time, I was excited for a breakfast sandwich (Double smoked bacon one) but ended up waiting about 8 minutes in the drive-thru only to receive a sloppy, squished sandwich. The bottom was completely mushed and falling apart as if it had been dropped or was an older sandwich that had been sitting too long. Either way, it was disappointing and not the quality I expect from Starbucks. Unfortunately, I won’t be supporting this location anymore.

Other Starbucks locations in the area have regularly made one of their iced drinks hot for me. I like the flavor and have received no fuss when I order it like this. This particular Starbucks was a firm no when I asked to complete what is probably a simple task. Don’t expect to get anything customized when you visit this location.

We waited 40 minutes for an order. Still waiting actually. Its not the workers fault as they are getting mobile order after mobile order. They need to cap at how many people are able to order on the app and come through the drive thru. Come up with a better system or hire more people. Idk but you got the money for it.

Nothing like pulling up to the drive through with 7 or 8 cars waiting ahead of you and waiting 20 minutes only 3 cars having gotten their orders taken. All this while there’s only 2 cars waiting at the window at a time. In total it took 35 min for me to finally get my 2 drinks. It will only look like 10 minutes on their window times because they don’t track the amount of time it took before my order was even taken.
I’ve been to Starbucks with 2 lines and way busier than this one and gotten my order in half of the time.

Well, happy birthday to me! In a fit of pre-Christmas-market joy, I decided to treat my girlfriends and myself to a surprise Starbucks breakfast in Cape Girardeau. The vibe was “Joyful Road Trip.” The reality became “Baffling Interrogation at a Bagel Crime Scene.”

I placed an order for three drinks and two bagels. What I received was two sad, untoasted discs of dough, looking as bare and forgotten as a Christmas tree lot on December 26th. No cream cheese. No golden toast. Just… existential despair on a paper plate.

I approached the counter with the cheerful patience of a birthday angel. “Hi!” I beamed. “These bagels seem to have missed their spa day—could we possibly get them toasted and dressed?”

The gentleman behind the counter picked up the bagels like a forensic investigator handling contaminated evidence. He studied the sticker. He looked at me. He looked back at the sticker. The vibe shifted from “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” to “A Very Special Episode of Law & Order: SVU.”

Instead of a simple “Oops, our bad!” he presented his findings: the ticket was clean. No toast. No cream cheese. According to the evidence, I, the Birthday Fool, had intentionally ordered two naked, room-temperature bagels for my own celebration.

His solution? A thrilling re-enactment of the ordering process! I needed to “reorder” and, crucially, “click on toast and cream cheese.” He said this with the grave seriousness of a man explaining nuclear fission to a pigeon. The implication was clear: I had foiled my own birthday surprise through inadequate checkbox navigation.

Sir, on a day I’m headed to drink glühwein and bask in Christmas magic, I did not come to Starbucks for a lesson in proprietary POS software. I came for a schmear! Is the “Fix It” button broken? Is the “Just Be a Dude and Put This in the Toaster” protocol not in the employee handbook?

In the end, I drove away with my correct drinks and my incorrect, solemn bagels. They were a perfect metaphor for the interaction: cold, doughy, and profoundly unsatisfying.

Cape Girardeau Starbucks, you turned a simple bagel fix into a bureaucratic puzzle. My spirit is now slightly less festive, but my resolve is stronger: I will click with wild abandon in St. Louis. Happy Holidays

It was awhile back but I used to love getting drinks here because you can customize them and I don’t mind an up charge
I used to get the same drink at the other two locations and this one
In fact I had gotten this drink at this location numerous times and got points for each visit

The reason I decided to go elsewhere is because the last time I attempted to order my drink
The manager himself told me my drink could not be made
I asked why seeing as I’d gotten it there numerous times
I thought maybe it was due to lack of supplies
While I wasn’t directly called a liar
It was heavily implied that couldn’t possibly be true due to the drink not being able to be made
He would not explain why aside from saying they can’t mix things
You can mix nearly anything there but this?
The workers are nice but that’s a bit ridiculous
For reference it was a mocha cookie crumble add Carmel sauce and Carmel ribbon pieces

Ok. Liked how early they opened. Liked how fast my order was ready. Location good. But the make you ask for a cup sleeve, for no logical reason. They automatically give one for the large drinks…but even though the temperature of the same hot drinks is the same regardless of size…some brilliant mind thought it appropriate to allow you to burn your hand rather than provide the sleeves meant for hot drinks. This alone makes me want to avoid the Starbucks in Cape, when I visit. Its ridiculous for the price we pay for these drinks. If not corrected, I will just avoid for these monthly trips. None of the locations anywhere else I travel are this ridiculous.
