Today 1-28-26 around 9:30am I went to the baraboo Starbucks with my daughters. I ordered a mocha cookie crumble with no caffeine. An order I’ve been getting with my oldest since she was small ( she’s 11 now).
I was told they were going to have to put it in differently because their buttons was taken away. I said okay and proceeded to order myself a large Carmel ribbon crunch. After she was done manipulating the order, the grande mocha cookie crumble cost more than my large Carmel ribbon crunch.
I questioned this because that makes no sense … she then said that because the button was gone that’s how it had to go in. I said , but it shouldn’t cost MORE you’re literally swapping out the coffee for whipping cream.
We went back in forth for a minute because it wasn’t making sense. Then I assume it was the manager who chimed in? This sassy man gets on the intercom to inform me that corporate wants to discourage modifications so the drinks end up costing more… again you’re just swapping coffee for whipping cream. It’s literally for a CHILD. He then informed me that I could go somewhere else. I told him to just switch it all around because I’m not paying extra for it. He then said they could do it this time. I said I’m ordering it the original way with caffeine he then proceeded to say again , yeah well do it this time…. Um sir I just ordered the regular drink you’ll do that EVERY Time!
To be clear after he said I could go somewhere else 3 times I will take him up on that and I won’t be back. If my daughter wasn’t looking forward to her drink I would have driven off and gone to Dunkin in portage.
Modifications is exactly why people come to Starbucks, they like to make drinks their own. If it wasn’t for modifications you’d lose most of your business.
Also this is the only location that has given me a hard time, none of the other locations have a problem putting it in correctly. So I’ll stick to the locations that value their customers

The staff here are very friendly and our drinks have always been great! We have been here MANY times, and they are always professional and have great hospitality! There is plenty of room to work here which we love. There is an outdoor and indoor seating area and two bathrooms. It is always clean in this Starbucks as well. Their drive thru is very quick. Autumn and James are two baristas who are always friendly and kind! We highly recommend this location.

Do not do a mobile order for this location. They do NOT care about mobile orders. They prioritize drive thru and heard them say, as an employee was worried about completing mobile orders, their shift lead said, “it’s okay, I don’t care about those right now.” Cars that entered the drive thru after I placed my order (while I was sitting inside waiting for it) got their drinks before me. People that walked in and ordered while I was sitting there waiting, got their drinks before me. Clearly Starbucks knows they locked customers in through ordering on mobile, took the money and don’t care if you wait for over 28 minutes. Mind you, my order was placed at 10:51 and received at 11:19. Not peak morning rush. No food and only three drinks. At least I had 28 minutes to draft this review. God speed Baraboo.

The staff are incredible and make the pre-packaged breakfast items taste way better. There’s like, nothing on them, which is all on Starbucks, not the staff. My frappuccinos are always made to perfection and the staff always brighten my morning to the point where I cant help but tip them every time. Give them all raises.

At first everything seemed normal… It is a typical Starbucks the employees are friendly and the place is clean. The iced chai and wrap I got tasted great… At first. Right before I finished my drink I saw a big black hair staring back at me through the cup. At first I thought it was mine until I realized I’M BLONDE! Then I looked up and 2 of the baristas have black hair I know it’s just a simple mistake but the thought of drinking a strangers hair juice is just wrong. Over all it’s a great place but hopefully you get luck with the hair juice

How do you charge $6 for a 16oz coffee and only give me 11oz(or less)? My guess is that you do it to everyone (to make more money) with the off chance the lid comes before the customer drinks it. And then ask for a tip before I’ve even received any service or goods. There goes my money, and there goes my time on writing this review.
Coffee usually comes up short on the rare occasions I stop here. Today was real short. Like and inch and a half from the top of the cup.
I know, who cares.

I don’t understand how this happens by accident. Every single ingredient I WANTED was removed, and I was charged full price for a cup of plain whole milk. Even worse, this was DELIVERY…I now don’t have coffee before my event. Thanks.
