I had a very unpleasant experience at the Starbucks on Triberton Pike this morning. This is not my usual location, but after this visit, I will not be returning.
At the drive-thru, I was assisted by two employees, Dan and Remy. From the start, the interaction felt unwelcoming—there was no greeting, just a request for payment. I understand that things can be busy, but there was no line at the time, so the tone felt unnecessary.
I brought my personal water bottle, as I do daily at other Starbucks locations, to be refilled. It had a small amount of water in it, which has never been an issue before. However, I was told in a harsh manner that they do not take bottles that are “dirty or have leftover contents.” My bottle was clean and only contained water, so this felt unnecessary and dismissive.
When I asked to scan for rewards points, my points were used instead. While I understand mistakes happen, there was no apology—rather, I was told it was due to how I asked. That response felt unprofessional.
To make matters worse, I was not given the banana bread I ordered and had to return to the window to request it. Again, there was no apology or acknowledgment.
Overall, the experience felt rushed, unkind, and lacking basic customer service. I simply wanted to start my day positively, and this interaction left me feeling frustrated and uncomfortable.
For those looking for a more welcoming experience, I highly recommend the Starbucks on Greenway Crossing, where the staff has consistently been friendly and respectful.
I hope this location can improve its approach to customer service moving forward.

Very disappointed. Ordered 2 coffees at the drive through. Got to the window and asked for a two cup tray, as I already had a drink in one of my cup holders. I was told I couldn’t have one because they tip over. I explained my situation and said I could hold on to both cups on my console with the holder. Still no. She said they can only be used with one of their bags. Great! I’ll take it that way, making it even easier for me! She said no again she couldn’t give it to me. Took the coffees, trying to balance them and spilled one on the way home. What a mess… me and the car. What happen to trying to accommodate the customer. (Posting as they don’t answer the number listed.)

My first child was born this morning at 3:00 AM and at lunchtime I stepped out of the hospital for pumpkin spice beverages for myself, mother-in-law, and my wife. I ordered 3 drinks for $20 total. I paid on my debit card and forgot to use my gift cards which was my mistake as I was so tired. The barista named Amanda then told me she voided my payment and it was on the house. She noticed my hospital wristband, t-shirt and hospital name tag and figured out just from observation that I had had a baby. We had a great conversation, she wrote a “congratulations” message to my wife, and even upgraded my grande drink to a venti, all of her own accord. This was the absolutely most thoughtful service I’ve ever had at a Starbucks… ever… hands down. I gave Amanda my sincerest gratitude and this Starbucks will be our #1 choice for coffee going forward. As new parents, we will need plenty of coffee especially during this Fall season.
Thank you again Amanda!

The baristas that work evening shift are amazing! Helped me with my Starbucks app and ensured I was still able to receive a birthday drink. They were wonderful!

I went in at 3:48 1/30 to buy my daughters a after school snack and they asked for a tik tok drink that they couldn’t make because certain ingredients were no longer in store but the barista was a beautiful soul and offered to make a different drink she had seen on tik tok and my girls were absolutely AMAZED. It was pink and beautiful and delicious! But shout out to her for trying to give my daughters a unique drink!!

This location is always closed. It is annoying. The other Fitchburg location is in a horrible location so when this place is closed, I take my business to another city that has figured life out. How hard is it to staff a coffee shop? Either leave so some other business can move in and serve the tax payers or get this figured out. ♂️

i love the baristas at this location!! if only it wasn’t such a poorly managed store, baristas are always short-staffed and overworked. my advice to anyone looking for great coffee, shop local! my espresso tasted burnt, complimented with unhappy baristas being yelled at by management in inedible conditions, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this location until they treat their workers kinder ❤️ (photo of the sink i saw behind bar)

the whole team welcomed me when I came in. Nat greeted me at the counter and was super nice! she must have noticed that I came in with my backpack and asked if I wanted my order in a mug and on a plate. I’m always a little anxious studying in public but Nat and the rest of the them made me feel so comfortable

I went to order the Honey Citrus Mint Tea because I’m sick right now and those seem to help a lot when I’m feeling under the weather. I placed my order on the app and I got all the way home. I picked my cup up and the whole thing spilled all over me and my console. I came out unscathed (although it was very hot.) I did call the store and spoke the store manager Erica who was very understanding and was concerned that I didn’t get burned. I told her I was okay and asked if it would be alright if I came back for another tea. She said that was fine and they would take care of me. I just have to shoutout Erica and her team of ladies who made not one, but both of my drinks with such care.
