Stretchy Elephant
This Starbucks is very small and hard to sit with anyone. The food sometimes tastes older or not fully cooked. The pricing seems higher than some nearby. The staff are usually nice and pleasant but it’s not my favorite location. I’m ranking the atmosphere lower because of the unusual seating that appears made more for one person.

Today, I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this Starbucks. I went out for my usual morning run with my dog and decided to go through the drive-thru to get a coffee. I waited patiently, but no one attended to me. I respectfully approached the window, only to be ignored and refused service for no valid reason.

What hurt the most wasn’t just the poor service — it was the way I was treated. I truly felt discriminated against, for being Mexican, for the color of my skin. There was no other explanation for the way I was treated, except a clear prejudice that made me feel invisible, like I didn’t deserve even the most basic respect.

It’s unacceptable that things like this are still happening in 2025, especially at a company that claims to stand for inclusion and respect. Today, I wasn’t just denied a coffee. I was made to feel like I was less. And that’s something I won’t easily forget.

I accidentally ordered for pick up not knowing there were 2 Starbucks within 1 block of each other so I went to pick it up after shopping for groceries and it was at the other one paid for. So I was charged almost 20 bucks bc they couldn’t honor that id already paid at the one a block away, so I had to pay again. The drink was good and I’m a rewards member with a lot of stars but I may be looking into Dunkin donuts for the future coffee stops or anyone have any other suggestions that if you make a mistake they will help you fix it? Thanks

I come here almost every morning. Some times cash some times debit card. Today I show up with 100$ and get my same order. But today they refused to take my cash. For some reason perfectly fine United States currency doesn’t work now all of a sudden. Then she said she couldn’t give me the change. Okay so give me a gift card, raise my total. Still refused. Way to really ruin someone’s day. I will never spend another dollar at Starbucks

This store is in a really bad spot. Customers in the drive-through are always blocking the entrance/exit to the north, and when supply trucks are there, it’s impossible to get to the entrance of the store. Not to mention the actual traffic jams customers create during peak hours while waiting in line for the drive-through. It’s much easier going to the starbucks on University.

Normally I love Starbucks I go to one 3ish times every week. However this ones customer service is abysmal. The tall blonde with glasses on a chain has a MASSIVE attitude tried to ring up my order wrong on purpose cuz it’s was “less words” when I politely told her to fix it she said Well it’s essentially the same thing… No it’s not my way is sweeter and I don’t want your version. And she had to NERVE to Roll her eyes at me! Like if you don’t want to do your job or don’t like it get a new one don’t take it out on the PAYING customer. Especially when we are polite about it. Needless to say I will never come back to this location again.

We were literally here and they got the wrong drink and we asked to change it NICELY. But she said “it’s your fault so we’re not fixing”…no it wasn’t. The girl named Hailey is the one who said this and gave us sass. They are all lazy rats and hot drink burnt my tongue. Not only that but they also got coffee grinds all over my drink. Will not come back to Starbucks on Buffalo Road, Clive, Iowa.

Nice place to drop of your nonshopping partner before heading to the Wally Wold across the way. It’s quiet, has sweet service, and has a view to the shopping area. One can, relax, read, watch traffic, work on their laptop, and then gather their gear and java as they see their ride coming across the way. Cheers.

This worker was named Hailey at the Buffalo Road location. I saw her making my drink but it was being made hot instead of cold. When I got my drink I told her it was wrong NICELY. She RUDELY told me that it was MY fault and didn’t replace my drink. I can’t drink hot because I just has mouth surgery. She still didn’t replace my drink. Will not be coming back to this location again.
