I’m at this Starbucks several times a week, and it’s become my go-to study spot. The drinks are great, and they have created an awesome atmosphere. What really sets this place apart is the fantastic staff, big shoutout to Emily! She greets people by name, checks in on them, and genuinely cares, and has helped make a welcoming experience every time. I will definitely keep coming back!

I used to go to this Starbucks on a regular basis a while ago. I went in this last Thursday morning (October 16) to grab a grande size Pike Place black coffee. I don’t remember precisely when but it would have been around 6-6:30 am. I prefer to go inside and see people rather than use the drive through. My mistake. I walk in and there was a gentleman ahead of me in line who apparently knew the baristas. One of them grabbed his regular drink and then went about taking other orders. I stood in line for about 5 minutes (yes 5 minutes) before someone acknowledged me. No one was standing around. They were all doing something but Starbucks needs to have someone at the register or at least greet me and let me know that they will be with me in a minute. It only took them 20 seconds to help me once they did but they were the least friendly Starbucks crew I have ever seen.

Awful staff and awful environment. Staff does not take their customer’s desires into consideration, nor do they treat customers with respect. I’ve watched the employees laugh at their customers.
Employees frequently skip steps when making drinks to make their own job’s easier at the customer’s expense.

Even if you get the wrong drink or NO drink at all they are rude about correcting it. Watched 4 people order and get their order. Mine was lost somehow. When I asked I am not even looked at. Better to go to the one down the street, better yet, Tim Hortons.

Last Saturday I had to wait 25 minutes to get a coffee and a frappuccino. They take care of the mobile orders and the Drive-Thru orders, but if you Go inside and order. They make you wait forever.

I thought it might be a coincidence but I am starting to think every time I sit down with my laptop within 30 minutes it gets extremely chilly. They used to be a great place to study prior to the renovation, but lately I don’t feel they are such a welcome environment to studiers. I think cranking up the air by the tables when they see people study is a way of shooing them away.

Superbly helpful staff in a very hectic paced environment! This location is packed with people having meetings, office teams and other groups working together… and the whole time, the staff are handling a drive-thru and their lobby. Very happy with this location!

Today I was definitely upset and unsatisfied with the service I got
First of all I asked a grande pink drink with (light ice) and what I saw next was unacceptable! I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to be late to work but the cup was a tall cup and on top of that they filled my cup with ice when I had asked light ice !
I ended up paying for just ice
Because after like 8-10 sips my drink was gone

Edit: So, after 2 months of continuing to go to this Starbucks for schoolwork and studying, I would like to say that I have been pleasantly surprised by the rest of the staff. They truly make up for the one manager lady who works there who is frustrating. I would like to shout out baristas Emily, Atlas, Reed, and Elyse. They are often working on Wednesday nights, and they have been a joy to interact with! I appreciate how caring they are, and they even asked where I was when I wasn’t well. I often times find myself looking forward to coming to this establishment on Wednesdays.

Hi! I loved this Starbucks, I am a local student around here and never have really had much of a problem here. I spend probably 6-8 hours a week at this place whether it’s a Bible study at 6 o’clock in the morning or a study session for 3 hours after school I spend a lot of time here. I have even made jokes with some of the barista about getting a job because I stay for practically a full shift. Anyways, there is this one barista that I never really have had great interaction with. Always stern, never smiling even when I try to be nice or have a conversation, just overall not friendly. Which is unfortunate because none of the other baristas are like that, all the others are cheerful and will carry a conversation. I’m not saying that a Starbucks worker needs to be the most chatty, charismatic, cheerful person, no, I just wish that she wasn’t rude, that’s all. Now you may be wondering, why the heck would you write a review just over a barista not smiling at you? I wouldn’t have, i would have loved to just ignore that one thing about this place but today, she went out of her way to come a be rude. Today I had another one of my study sessions, I had friends coming in and out that I was studying for a test with and I was there for about 3 and half hours. Around the end of my time there I was approaching 7:00 pm, mind you this place closes at 9 pm, I had decided that I needed to eat some dinner because I had somewhere I had to be after this so I just pulled out my dinner and started eating it. I had long gotten drinks, and I had thrown away the cup, my friend had also long gotten drinks and at this point, we had finished studying, we were having a serious conversation when this barista came up. She had informed my friend and I that to be seated in the Starbucks we would have to have ordered drinks. My friend and I assured her that we had already ordered drinks and that we have just been here for a long time. But she was not having it, she mumbled as if she was trying to come up with something else to disagree on, and she decided she didn’t like my dinner saying “ if you read you would see it say on the door no outside food, I get food and drinks from here all the time, also there is no one else in the Starbucks at this point, I felt like she was looking for any reason to kick us out of the Starbucks. Which respectfully, you guys close at 9 not 7. As someone who works in food service I understand that sometimes you just wanna go home, but from a child to a full grown adult, it’s crazy that I can be more professional than you. I ended up buying another drink to prove my loyalty to this Starbucks but it’s kinda absurd that she felt the need to come and harass me and my friend the only other people in this Starbucks. I was just kinda disappointed and I wish that there was more sympathy from the lady. I like to think she was having a bad a day and just felt the need to blow off some steam and yell at 2 teens. I hope that help her. Please just be kind and understanding, I don’t feel like it’s that hard.
