Subject: Concern Regarding Customer Service Experience

I waited at the counter for nearly ten minutes with no other customers ahead of me, during which time no team member acknowledged my presence or advised that they would assist me shortly. This lack of basic greeting reflects a deficiency in customer service training.

Having worked in hospitality for many years, I understand that the standard introduction—such as “Good morning, welcome to Starbucks, I’ll be right with you”—sets the tone for the entire guest experience. Unfortunately, that standard was not met.

During this time, another gentleman approached the counter. At that point, the barista turned around and prepared to take his order. I respectfully interjected to note that I had been waiting and had not yet been assisted. Only then was my order taken, and the interaction felt noticeably dismissive and strained, leaving me with the impression that my request for service was an inconvenience.

Due to the overall experience, I requested to speak with the store manager. I spoke with a young woman who I believe was named Isha (my apologies if I am mistaken). She acknowledged that the service level was unacceptable, accepted the feedback professionally, and offered a Starbucks credit in an effort to remedy the situation. I appreciate her receptiveness and her commitment to addressing proper customer acknowledgment with her staff.

Additionally, I would like to note that for a six-dollar price point, the sandwich portion was unexpectedly small and did not reflect the value I would typically expect.

While I appreciate the manager’s response, I believe this feedback is important to share so that service expectations are consistently upheld.

Everytime I mobile order my order takes another 10-15 mins after the fact that I arrive. The order ready times never accurate and the staff is moving with no sense of urgency no matter if there’s no line or if there’s a line backed up. Genuinely annoying and the worst location I have been to by far. If I order online 10-15 mins before I arrive I expect my order to be ready and it never is. Consistent issue. Do better.

I order from here almost daily and I have never been spoken to the way I was this morning. I placed an order before leaving my office and can’t help that it takes forever to get to them but that’s besides the point. I pulled up behind someone and waited for almost 5 minutes for their order to be placed. I get to the box, tell them my name and the barista, Elyse (spelling??) told me that they had just received it 2 minutes prior and that in the future I need to wait at least 10 to come. When I got to the window I asked why it mattered when it would take just as long if I placed it in store or online, that I had also waited behind the person before me forever. She got rude and told me that she made minimum wage and to take my tone down. By that point I was pissed because I wasn’t being rude but I did get rude back. The manager came over and apologized for the way she spoke with me, some of the other staff said that I was right to be bothered by the transaction. I work in customer service as well and would not talk to a customer the way she did me.

The barista was professional and quick providing good customer service and the coffee was on-brand as expected. Drive through hours are wrong, it is open until store closing at 9:30pm but there is no way to edit drive thru hours on Google Maps.

Everytime I visit this location I always have a pleasant experience and great customer service. I don’t remember the last young ladies name that served me, but she was so beautiful with colorful locks and had the best personality and attitude for customer service. She made my experience excellent!

I have been to this location on numerous occasions normally it is a smooth seamless transaction using their mobile app. I’m unsure who the staff is now but after placing a mobile order I waited 15 minutes in store asked 2 associates about my order and they said they’ll be with me momentarily, finally got upset and spoke with someone again after me and numerous people were waiting in line on our orders. They had no idea about our orders our tickets were stuck to the board never having been made. I will never use this location again.

We waited over 30 minutes and left with a refund. I understand the store was busy, however we were not told that there was a 20 minute wait when ordering. After 20 minutes of waiting then the staff began to tell customers that there was a 20 minute wait. So , my 4 drinks would have been a 50 minute wait, no thank you! Also, making comments about the customers who want to check on their order with rude comments is not very business savvy.

Could not get any of the staff to acknowledge me at the register. I was told by the cashier to wait while stocking food was apparently more important. After 5 minutes of waiting with no acknowledgment, I asked the manager when someone would be available and was dismissively told that it was their busiest time of day.

I got a Venti white chocolate mocha hot and it had to be the nastiest coffee I’ve had, sad thing is I went yesterday and it was not good either, couldn’t even get it down! I can understand an off day, but 2 days in a row and $15. is ridiculous! Retrain your people! Won’t be giving them another chance!

We stopped here on our way to Florida. It was a couple minutes off the road but the drive through was very quick. Our order was accurate and the employee at the window was happy and helpful. Definitely a great spot to stop if you missed the Starbucks in Valdosta.
