visit this location about once a month. It has been one of my favorite locations until Sat 1/24 about 2pm. I ordered a drink that I get almost everyday (so I know how it tastes) Took about 20mins for the drink but it was no problem bc I was in no rush at all. It was supposed to have light ice. When I realized it didn’t I informed the Barista & she offered to remake it. I was sure to be calm & kind w/her as she seemed a bit overwhelmed the moment I walked in. About 5 mins later I received the drink. I was sad to taste it and it was awful. I just couldn’t keep a $9 drink that was bad. Instead of asking the Barista to remake it (bc she was clearly already flustered) I kindly said “I’m sorry this isn’t very good can i please have a refund” She took the drink from my hand and literally threw it in the sink behind her. It went all over the counter and splashed back on me. She keyed something in the register and walked away. I stood there quite perplexed. Asked her “do you need my card or something for the refund” She said w/an attitude “Scan your app”. I asked her where bc I had never done a return at Starbucks. She responded “however you paid”. I then had to ask for a receipt bc she had moved on to make a drink. I then said “Im sorry but when you threw that drink it got one me as well” I was going to tell her I hope she has a better day bc she clearly seemed flustered but before I could get out the next word her response was “do you need napkins” I stood there trying to process her passive aggressive behavior for about 3 secs. Then she repeated “do you need napkins”. Not even an apology. I was so stunned to be treated this way. As calm & kind as I was I can only imagine how she is w/customers that are actually upset. This Barista will definitely cause me to not feel comfortable to ever come to this location again.

I wanted to share feedback regarding my recent visit because the experience was disappointing, especially considering the premium prices we pay for coffee and breakfast items. At this level, I expect a higher standard of courtesy and customer service.
When I went to pay, I handed Khaijae a gift card that was still in its packaging. Instead of simply opening it to scan the barcode—something that takes only a second—she handed it back to me and said, “You need to take it out of the package.” While I certainly could have opened it myself, great customer service is usually defined by small gestures that make the experience smooth and pleasant. This would have been one of those moments.
After I removed the packaging and she scanned the card, she then handed the torn wrapper back to me instead of discarding it. I had to ask her to please throw it away. At that point, using a simple gift card had become a whole ordeal.
I used the full balance on the card and even paid an additional amount out-of-pocket, so this wasn’t about avoiding payment—it was about the overall interaction and lack of basic courtesy. For what customers spend here, the service should reflect a friendlier and more helpful approach. This experience fell short of that expectation.

wish i can give 6 stars lol. i always order my moms drink and food and the staff always make her order to satisfaction. she’s a regular and she tells me they always greet her with a smile and it warms my heart! i love this location and wouldn’t go to the one near me because it’s a hot mess. we appreciate yall! especially jessica and the morning staff! ❤️❤️❤️

I come to this location all the time and they always have great service!! I came thursday january 8th around 12:50 and the girl taking the orders was unprofessional from the start. She handed us our drinks and didn’t say anything. We drove away and saw that she made one of the drinks wrong so we go back in the drive thru and ask to get it corrected and she once again stayed quiet and took the drink and poured out half of the drink to add cold foam to the top. Our drink was now 1/4 pink drink and the rest was ice and cold foam. Very disappointing.

The team at this Starbucks have great customer service! It definitely helps put you in a good mood first thing in the morning! Jessica is a favorite! 😉 Not only because we share a name, but because she is the peppiest one there. Brings me a smile when I know it’s her. The breakfast items I have gotten have always been hot. The drive-thru time is not long. I have been inside the store once and during that one visit everyone was so nice and welcoming. Again, it’s hard to do first thing in the morning, but these guys got it down! Reviewing here in hopes they get some recognition!

This is my favorite Starbucks in the Atlanta metro area. I like that the staff is diverse and that the energy is always calm, positive and efficient. And, even though recently I have begun to patronise other, more indy coffee shops for my matcha fix, several Starbucks employees have redeemed the whole experience for me and will keep me coming back: I want to shout out Naijae at the Powder Springs Road location. When I expressed a little disappointment about Starbucks’ new matcha formulation she could have been annoyed and rushed my order in but, instead, she took the time to explain the new formulation and then she said that she was really good at matcha and would make sure it was right. And it was: it was one of the best matchas I’ve had in some time. So I want to thank Naijae personally for being so lovely and humouring me. Kindness and thoughtfulness are no longer a given, unfortunately and it means a lot. I would also like to add that this location really could use a remodel – at a minimum they should at least re-tile the floors, they look cruddy. I miss the old-school Starbucks where the interiors always felt fresh yet elevated: ie. the beautiful jewel-toned tiles and elegant color schemes.

Absolutely terrible shop. If you don’t tip, they don’t make your drink right and they won’t be nice to you. You get to the window not even “hey how you’re doing” card reader out “oh this tip is for the barista”. I shouldn’t have the tip to have my drink made properly Starbucks is expensive enough as it is.

Ordered two simple hot coffees. Nothing special just two hot coffees. Served cold. No time to go back. I dont even think they had any hot coffee brewed. Please do not spend your money here. Waste of money.
