Pretty busy location right in the heart of Downtown Charleston. My past 2 drinks here were actually extremely good. One time I was a little upset bc my drink was done, but I never heard my name and it sat there for awhile (it looked half full as well) and they never said anything to me about my drink being done. Otherwise pleasant experiences here, and will come again.

When I’m on king street, I always come to this Starbucks and when Im on meeting street in downtown, I always go to Blum Coffee and Wine Bar. It all depends if I have to get some work done.And I want a bigger space or if i’m on king street.And I just want to grab a coffee because i’m walking and hanging out. there are my 2 coffee shop destinations, and they have great pastries for both of them. And that’s the wonderful thing about charleston.After all, is its diversity and coffee shops, restaurants and retail spots. Friendly staff here.

I was staying at the Francis Marion last week for a work conference, which is attached to this Starbucks. Each morning my co-worker, Maddi, and I would go down to Starbucks and order from Summer. Listen, I’ve never been so happy to go to a Starbucks before. Summer would call us by our name when we walked in, even though we were only there for 4 days. Like come on now, that’s awesome! Maddi and I would randomly comment to each other throughout the day how awesome the atmosphere was because of Summer. Summer and their co-workers were in such great moods that it really helped put the day in motion. Summer, keep it up because you were absolutely awesome!! Thank you for our delicious drinks!!

This Starbucks is fairly large and has some tables and couches. The staff are friendly and patiently explain simple concepts to customers, like the fact that a caramel macchiato has espresso. I did not need to wait long. My talk mocha was too sweet and tasted more like Swiss miss cocoa but that might have to do with Starbucks potentially changing the syrup or recipe in the last decade. Customers spill things frequently so some parts of the cafe are dirtier than others.

This is a pretty good Starbucks and although their coffee is not the best it is still one of the best in the area. I like the local design and décor that is here as it is very Charleston. The service here is quick and friendly and you can tell that they care about what they are doing. This location is very convenient and easy to walk to. This is a reliable place to get some good coffee.
