I recently visited the Starbucks at Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, and my overall experience was very good. The store is in a convenient location on the upper level of the mall, and it felt like a nice place to take a break and relax during shopping. The atmosphere was comfortable, with a pleasant buzz of customers, and the team worked efficiently even though the mall was busy. was especially happy with the lattes and espresso drinks. Starbucks offers classic options like Caffè Latte, Cappuccino, Flat White, Caffè Americano, Caramel Macchiato and Mocha, and it is nice to see such a wide range of choices for both hot and iced espresso beverages. The latte I tried was smooth and creamy, with a good balance between the espresso and milk, and it tasted fresh and consistent with what you expect from a big international brand. I also appreciate that they have many flavored lattes, such as vanilla, caramel, and seasonal favorites like Pistachio Latte or Pumpkin Spice Latte, so there is something for every taste. Beyond lattes, this Starbucks has a large selection of other drinks that makes it easy to find exactly what you feel like. They serve brewed hot coffee like Pike Place Roast and Blonde Roast for people who like a simple cup of coffee, along with Americanos and flat whites for stronger espresso-based drinks. The store was kept clean and organized, and the seating area felt welcoming for both people who just want to grab and go and those who prefer to sit for a while. Overall, I am very satisfied with my visit to the Starbucks at Crabtree Mall, and I would happily return and recommend this location to others who enjoy good lattes, a wide variety of Starbucks drinks, and a pleasant mall café atmosphere.

I visited this Starbucks location today and had a mixed experience. I placed a mobile order and forgot to select “no whipped cream” on my drink. Since I have a dairy allergy, I went inside before my drink was made and politely explained the mistake and asked if they could leave the whipped cream off. I apologized and made it clear I knew it was my oversight, I just wanted to catch it early so no one would have to remake the drink.
The barista helping me (I don’t know his name, but he had blue-green hair) responded pretty rudely and said he probably wouldn’t remember. A few minutes later, I happened to walk by right as he was actively making my drink, so I gave a quick, polite reminder in the moment — just a simple “hey, please no whipped cream” as he was preparing it, not expecting him to remember from earlier since he said he would not.
When he handed me the drink, it didn’t have a lid on it and there was liquid dripping down the sides. The interaction felt rushed and dismissive. I completely understand that mistakes happen and that it can get busy, but a little more kindness and care would have gone a long way, especially with a food allergy involved.
Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but the customer service could definitely be improved.

Did not receive what I ordered. When I told them I was informed “well this is what you paid for so you’ll have to go back to the register (long line and I had already waited in line/for my order) and pay for the correct order” so apparently because they don’t listen when you place the order, I have to pay for 2 so that I can get what I actually wanted. That’s crazy! I get the same things EVERYTIME, I know for facts I ordered it correctly. Do your jobs correctly because I’m not going to make multiple purchases for things I did not want just for you to finally get it correct! It’s not even a “special” order. Do better Starbucks!

I usually come to this Starbucks every day for my breakfast and coffee since I work at the mall, and most of the staff know me and are always friendly. However, I had a really disappointing experience recently with one of the employees (a girl with glasses). I simply asked for a cup of water, which has always been given without issue, but she asked me if I had purchased anything there before. That felt unnecessary and rude, especially since I’m a loyal, daily customer who spends money here all the time. If she wanted me to pay for the water, she could have just said so politely. It was unprofessional and honestly left a bad impression compared to the great service I usually get from the rest of the team.

We have been to this Starbucks location a few times at the mall. They are always so quick with the orders. We usually do a mobile order and by the time we arrive, they are ready. The baristas are friendly and make the best drinks! The order is always correct and the perfect temperature!
