We paid cash and my partner told her to keep the change as a tip. Not a thank you or any acknowledgment.
When he arrived, he was told the order didn’t exist, even though I had already been charged. Because he was in a rush, he had to leave without the coffee.
I called the store to request a refund and was told by an employee named Jared that they did actually have the drink, but they assumed it wasn’t his because 10 minutes had passed since the order was placed. That explanation makes no sense and shows a lack of basic order handling. Even worse, I was told they could not issue a refund, with no clear reason given.
When I asked how they planned to make it right, I was offered a “free coffee next time,” which is not helpful since I rarely visit this location. To top it off, the employee hung up on me before even taking my name.
This entire interaction was unprofessional, dismissive, and unacceptable. I paid for an order that was mishandled, denied, and never refunded. I expect better service and accountability.
What stood out most was how smoothly the location handled the morning rush. Despite a line of customers, drinks came out quickly and accurately, and everyone was greeted with a smile. There’s also ample parking, which made it super convenient for a quick stop. If you’re in the area and need a solid coffee break, this Starbucks is a reliable choice.
Why is one of the newer baristas on bar doing the mobile orders during the busiest time?!? I waited 10 minutes for a drink and the barista decided to ask for help AFTER it was like 6 of us waiting for our mobile orders! The entire point of ordering via mobile is get in and get out. Mind you I came in before all of them save one, and 2 people who came in after me received their drinks before me?!? ANNOYING. I have been coming to this location for years, since Nicole was manager but she has since moved on to a different location. I may have to start going to the north Greenbush location, not sure what’s going on now
