When ordering on mobile app. I pull up to drive thru ordering microphone and let them know I’m here to pick up my name and I just ordered thru the app. The female employee says in an annoyed tone just so you know in the future you don’t have stop at the ordering microphone just pull up to the pick up window and say your name. The next time I return I skip the microphone and pull up to pick up window and say my name and the much nicer employee says next time you do would you stop at the ordering microphone and let us know your name and that you ordered on the app. You can’t win sometimes. They need to get a system and stop giving mixed directions.

Got a strawberry Acai refresher and a pineapple cloud treat. I tried the pineapple cloud since they were out of my fave lemon loaf slice. It was delicious except that the pineapple topping stuck to the bag it came in. Overall , It hit the spot on a very hot day. The woman that served me was very nice and efficient.

This place can be so hit or miss, depending on what staff is working, but when it’s a hit, it is the best Starbucks experience ever. Incredible customer service, quick lines, and staff that really focuses on the little things. I’m always excited to see certain staff is on because I know they will just be going above and beyond.
As an aside, Koben is a star and definitely deserves a raise. Customer service during a rush is rough and your pep is infectious!

They stopped doing deals on their app… coffee was overpriced before but without coupons… not worth it. I mentioned this to the supervisor when I got my first drink in months (we used to be regulars with their Thursday drink deals) and she said there are deals on the app. She then said there’s one for free foam right now. I said that’s marketing to try a new thing and she dismissed me and walked away. This place is so out of touch now. That and union busting… I’m just done. Spending all my gift card balance and never buying again.

This place has improved so much since they opened.I had an issue with a coffee and the manager today demonstrated professionalism by addressing the issue effectively and exhibiting a friendly demeanor. I didn’t catch her name but I will definitely be going back I can tell she cares about the store and the costumers.

I always have a great experience here, but today is why I’m leaving a review. I went to a different starbucks and they messed up my order in a way that is of detriment to my health and they were super rude to me when I asked about it, so I came to this location to get a new one. not only did they fix my drink no charge, they gave me a size up and were so so sweet to me. I didn’t catch a name, but fish girl, u rock! u rly turned my day around and kept me from literally having a seizure and dying and they should pay u more<3

We go to the Essex Starbucks at least twice a week and the service has recently really gone downhill. Today was the worst. The order taker was in a rush and was very abrupt. Then when we went to pay and use points for part of our order, we were told it was too late, they had already scanned and paid. We always do this the same way, but it seemed like today they didn’t want to bother with a simple thank you or any level of customer service.
