Honestly, Starbucks is my go-to when I need a little escape. There’s one near my place that I swear I practically live in sometimes. It’s not just about the coffee (though their lattes are pretty on point); it’s the whole vibe. I can sit there for hours, working on my laptop or just reading, and no one bothers me.

I’ve had some great conversations with the baristas, too. They’re always super friendly and down to make recommendations when I’m feeling adventurous. And let’s be real, sometimes I just need a reliable spot with good coffee, friendly faces, and a chill atmosphere, Starbucks is my happy place.

On November 25, we stopped at the Starbucks near Midway Airport while on our way to pick up family members. My son, who is on the autism spectrum, urgently needed to use the restroom. We asked a barista named Chris if he could use the bathroom briefly, and we were told no, that restroom access was only permitted with a purchase.
We then asked if my son could have a cup of water, as he was thirsty and needed a drink. Again, Chris refused and stated that water was only available with a purchase. My husband indicated that tap water would be fine, but this request was also denied. Chris’s demeanor was unkind and unaccommodating throughout the interaction.
My family and I have been loyal Starbucks customers and Gold members for many years. My son, in particular, has a love for Starbucks Frappuccinos, which I regularly purchase for him as a treat. I was very disappointed by this experience, as it does not reflect the polite, welcoming customer service we have consistently received from Starbucks in the past.
If not for my son’s love for Starbucks, this experience would have led me to stop patronizing the company altogether. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to reinforce the level of service Starbucks has long been known for.

This is my favorite Starbucks to visit and work from. The staff is friendly and joyful to be around. They take pride in what they’re doing!

Also, the music playlist is awesome! At times I have to put down my headphones to pay attention to music, which is early new wave and some disco.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but the girl working the drive-thru lately has made it impossible not to. Yesterday she tried to hand me the wrong drink and acted like I was the one confused. Today she didn’t even bother to give any straws. Every time I go through, she sounds completely over it, like talking or doing her job is just too much effort. It wasn’t even busy, come on. It’s Starbucks, not a favor. I’ll be skipping this location until they figure out what “customer service” means again. Tell worker Chris to let people use the restroom and offer guest water so they don’t dehydrate and pass out in your dining area.

My coffee was so badrrrrrrrrr. I’m really disappointed with my experience at this Starbucks location. I ordered a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, and there was an actual coffee bean in my drink. It blended in with the ice so well that I accidentally bit into it, which was honestly shocking and totally ruined the drink. This is not the level of quality or care I expect from Starbucks. I hope the store seriously improves its preparation standards, because this was extremely unpleasant.

Taste of the drink itself was 10/10 but I asked for *light* ice not *extra* ice ya’ll Better luck next time 🙁

**Update: Tried taking their reply into account. This same thing happened on two other occasions after this review. One of which I asked the barista to remake my drink with light ice since it was filled to the brim with it. &Although the barista remade my drink, he was clearly upset with the request because when I got my *new drink it had light ice but tasted nothing like the oatmilk shaken expresso I always order 🙁 The taste was more like they dumped out the whole drink, added some ice, oatmilk, and brown sugar *without* the expresso shots. I wasn’t about to go around a second time and decided to leave :/

Went to pick up a delivery order. I asked for it and was told to wait. After some time I noticed the employees were just socializing and taking care of other customers. After like 15 mins I seen another driver came and he asked for his order. Immediately he got his. If I didn’t step up to ask for the status of it they weren’t going to let me know that the order was ready. They came across as if they didn’t like my Jesus shirt. Even looked at me dirty when I asked for the status.
