We’ve been coming here for years, and the quality of both the food and service has remained excellent over time. We miss the experience of dining in, but they only do takeout now. We ordered the vegetable pakora, vegetable samosas, and garlic naan to start, and then the lamb vindaloo, chicken korma, aloo gobi masala, and chicken tikka masala as mains. Everything here is always so delicious, and the owners are very nice. We’ll definitely keep coming back for years to come!

Wow i was not expecting to be blown away by how delicious this food was. I love Indian food like love it. I have one fave restaurant that’s all the way in philly BUT so far out of any I’ve tried in DE this one is the one. I always go for chicken tikka masala anywhere i go to see if it compares to my fave spot and philly and this restaurant is the only so far that compares. I was thoroughly impressed. The flavors, the quality, the good portions, and the authentic taste. They have gained a new customer today i will definitely be back soon. Must make my way through that menu. Just fyi they are take out only!! Closed on Mondays!! Highly recommend for take out!

Absolutely outstanding food, great portions and really good price. First time having Indian food. Everything was so flavorful full of herbs and spice. The garlic Naan is also a must with all of this food. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

This restaurant is truly a star! I can’t believe that we have an authentic and fantastic restaurant like this just hiding away in this area. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chicken Tikka Masala (number 18), especially with some garlic naan. Go get yours!

First time trying this place and had a great experience! Staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the bayngan bhurta (eggplant) and saag paneer with garlic naan! Highly recommend Star of India if you’re looking for local authentic Indian food!

The food wasnt as good as i remember it ,not sure if the cooks are different or what changed in the recipe but the grill mix was super dry ,usually we dont have left overs and if we do it still tastes as good if not better than the first day but this time it was bad and we just threw it out..

And Delicious. Great place. Lady at counter super nice and patient. The open sign was off so we thought they were closed but they were open once we pulled the door. But the food super good. And nice spice. Tea was nice a licorice flavor super good. Plenty of parking. The food come out hot and that was wonderful. Naan bread fresh and real ingredients not out of a can.
