This is one of those places you don’t want to judge just from the outside appearance. This bar has some real history to is. As the sign says it has now been operating during three distinct centuries. The Star Lake Inn is found on a little travelled road along a lake in what could be considered a residential área. Having been open in the late 1800s, it used to be a stopping point for soldiers and others travelling Military Road. The staff is friendly and the view looking over the lake on a snowy day is almost magical.

This is the perfect example of a dive bar, and I love them! It has a reputation as an easy-drinking establishment, and I can attest to that. Yummy meal! The drinks are cheap and potent. Pool! Music! Can you ask for anything else?

Food takes a long time to get. Standard bar food. Servers have always been nice. Regulars are chatty if you start conversations and leave you alone if you don’t. Great view of a lake from covered smoking area. A great local spot.

Small, dark inside . Food was not that impressive. Parking lot was full of basketball size potholes. Only thing that I really liked was the view outside to the lake.

What a hidden gem!! This is a quaint dive bar with a cozy bar, lovely sweet ladies tending bar, and a sizeable table/dining area. Also some tables outside on a patio. They had a pretty good eats menu with a lot of pub fare at reasonable prices. I will definitely be back. Loved it. Even the regulars were welcoming.

Food & service was amazing for a dive bar. The environment of people was super chill, laid back. Only complaint is parking but it’s a dive bar lol I ordered the chicken tenders & it was actually the best bar food I’ve ever had!! Definitely coming back

Nice local place to have a drink and hang out. Friendly, and used to have a good croud, but struggling. Only two pool tables now, and not as many people here as there used to be. Covid has definitely hit them. Pretty much caters to the local regulars only now.
