I don’t tend to go for Indian cuisine most of the time, but I wanted to change things up, and Star Chaat had great reviews.
I was a little disappointed by the service. The staff weren’t particularly interested in explaining things and seemed to take their time in coming by our table. We probably weren’t the usual clientele, so maybe that was part of it, I don’t know.
The food was solid. Some of it was stuff I wasn’t familiar with, but was pretty tasty. There were a couple things I’d definitely order again, but overall, I’m not sure I’d want to dine in at the restaurant again. I might just place a togo order next time.

One of the best north indian food i had.
Potato cheese balls were crispy and delicious.
But the winner for me was butter naan and kulcha along with paneer makhani.
Cham cham was yummy too. Mint chaas was refreshing as well.

With an all-vegetarian menu, this restaurant is a genuine treat. We enjoyed fresh, tasty food with good portion sizes. The spacious seating and family-friendly atmosphere make it ideal for small gatherings. A great way to experience Indian vegetarian cuisine.

First time here, excellent service, amazing staff and even more, the food was phenomenal. We ordered 2 chats, pav bhaji (comes with pappad), paneer bhurjee (could use a tad more flavor) and lachha paratha. All excellent. good selection on menu. All in all, super impressed with the kind staff and service. Chaat was fire. Highly recommend, will come back!

Food was mostly good – especially the chat. The Gobi Manchurian was undercooked and not spiced properly and seemed to arrive too fast. The Chole Bature was great. Makke ki Roti and Sarson ka Saag was great too. Gobi paratha was nice but seemed light on the Gobi filling.
Service was nice but spotty. Had to request water refills multiple times.
Prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.
Happy with our experience but space for improvement!

This restaurant looks like a rundown place from outside but once you enter it’s not too shabby. Service was bad for a Sunday 3 pm time when there were only 2 more tables which were occupied. Food is a hit and a miss, few items were good and few were bad. Naan and panner were good , chaat items were average at best with sprout bhel being a standout and the Aug special- achari soya tikka and the jamun drink – they were bad – really bad.

This is by far one of the best North Indian restaurants in the Bay Area. I first got introduced to Star Chart Cuisine in Dublin on travels to Yosemite, Mammoth lakes etc. I had loved the food there. When I saw they now also have a location in Santa Clara. I took my Mom there on Tuesday. We both loved it so much that Mom immediately invited my sister’s family and myself back today. Their food is tasty, not too oily, has great portions and is served in a clean manner. And is served in a clean manner. The service is fast and friendly. Compared to some other places the prices are also fair. This is now my go-to place for North Indian food. I highly recommend it. Best thing, it’s fully vegetarian!

Food is amazing at this place! The chole bhatura was definitely the highlight, make sure to get it a little spicy. The mild is very bland. We tried several chaats and tandoori chicken as well. Almost every dish we got was great!
