This small place as the best steak salad in the Stockyard based on flavor, it has great char and tenderness. The house vinaigrette dressing is very tasty.

Quite a nice little joint right off the main stockyards strip! Portions are huge, so be prepared for that. The chips are homemade, and the prices are great for the area! I will definitely be back just to pop in and have a beer to beat the heat!
We had the chips and queso (delicious), I had a burger (good but could’ve been a little more pink), taco salad (absolutely massive), and chili (not traditional for TX but still excellent)
Will be back 4.8/5

It was my first time going and it was amazing. The waitress was so sweet. The food was fresh.

We stopped in here for a drink and snack whilst we were exploring the Stockyards area. We sat at the bar and ordered a beer for my partner and I had the TX Peaches. The cocktail was nice but it was a little too sweet for me (personal preference more than there being anything wrong with the drink).

We ordered a chicken fried chicken sandwich to share. The food arrived quickly and the sandwich was delicious! We both agreed it was probably the best fried chicken sandwich either of us had ever had. The chicken was juicy and the batter had so much flavour. The fries were tasty but could have been cooked for a little bit longer.

Also want to shout out our bartender (whose name I didn’t get so very sorry). He was so friendly and was giving us lots of recommendations for things to do in the area.

The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the bathroom situation. The ladies room was not very nice and you aren’t able to put toilet paper in the toilet itself (there is a sign specifically saying this) and I found the whole experience a bit unpleasant. I understand their piping is old but having to put your used toilet paper into a bin (where other people have also put their used paper) was just not nice.

Our total bill, including tax and tip, was $45 which we thought was great value. I would definitely visit again (although not if I need to use a bathroom haha).

Small little bar/cafe/restaurant. Definitely has that local cowboy bar atmosphere. Stopped there and ordered the chili, with a special request (add sliced jalapeños). Waitress was nice, service was quick, and the Chili was great. Price was about what I expected. Enjoyed it!

This place deserves a 0! Lunchtime during the week and the place was empty. I was starving and did not want to eat at Shake Shack. My friend has tons of dietary issues and was not going to eat but kind enough to accompany me. The waitress refused to serve me because my friend had a coffee cup that was half empty. She said we could not bring drinks in which I understand if I’d brought in a can Coke to eat with a meal. We explained the situation to her but she refused. Stupid customers service skills! I did tell her she’d prefer to lose out on business, a tip, and returning customer IF the food was good. Plus, the building is so old and musty smelling; mildew or black mold. And yes! It’s true, I have steered tourist away from this wretched place. Good customer service gains you 1-3 new patrons, bad service makes you lose 10+ patrons!

The food was just ok especially considering the price and wait time. I ordered the ribeye steak for $43 and they missed the temp under. The outside was the correct temp but the inside was blue. In fact, of the 3 streaks ordered at our table they missed the temperature on all of them. The highlight of the meal was the roll, honestly. Just being honest I’d rather go somewhere else and spend more money on a better quality cut of meat that’s better prepared.

Food okay. But several messups. Steak burger with onions missing gravey. Baked potato had only butter and a little sour cream. No cheese, onions, bacon. Salad was nice, but the ranch taste like pure salt. That part not good. Burger was good, but fries greasy, limpy and unseasoned. Breakfast choices limited. Need a pancake/waffle plate. Service bit slow.
Beware! At end, check your bill! They are tacking on $3 extra after taxes added in for “NO” reason and they couldn’t give us one!

Great little diner with Texas sized portions! This really feels like a hometown diner in a big city. The staff he’s very cheery and polite. The food is great you better be hungry if you’re going. There’s extra seating in the side banquet room. This place is busy though. You might have to wait a little while during breakfast and lunch hour. The atmosphere is really fun! Lots of Texas memorabilia

We walked in think it would be a cool place to grab an early dinner. I ordered an old fashioned to start off with. It was the 2nd worst old fashioned that I’ve ever had. Tasted like bourbon and water.
By the time the drinks showed up we had already ordered the rib eye steak and a burger. I ordered the rib eye medium rare and it came out closer to medium/medium well. The burger was way under cooked. The accompanying mashed potatoes were relatively tasteless. The gravy was the same, tasteless. The servers were however very pleasant.
