Waitress talked me into getting a higher priced breakfast item,even though I didn’t want the eggs.
“I will put them on the side for you.”
What I got:
Eggs on top of the biscuits and gravy and bacon,not on the side as requested.
2 burnt pieces of bacon.
Lukewarm biscuits and gravy.
Undercooked hashbrowns.
Then when we were paying our bill the waitress wouldn’t answer me when I tried to talk to her about my food.
Do better,be nicer,or at the very least don’t deliberately give me bad food.

Many times I have passed through beardstown Illinois and never once thought about stopping here and that was a mistake.
The outside of the building don’t look like much but silly me never judge a book by it’s cover.
The star Cafe turns out to be a classic diner serving up all day breakfast and lunch after 10:30 am

Family owned and operated establishment, with mom cooking in the back and the daughters running the front!
Our server Sara was amazing and is the crown jewel to what made the experience worth it, based on her suggestions I opted for a breakfast omelet and it didn’t disappoint at all!
It seems most people go for the breakfast and I will be back for it again the next time I pass through.
Or maybe lunch in my future as their burgers looked awesome as well!

Great food at okay prices. The problem is is their work ethic. Every time I go there they’re closing earlier and earlier. They’re probably going to go out of business soon and they’re doing it to themselves. Lord knows how much business they miss out on.
