I walked in and was immediately greeted by the wonderful owner. Did not catch her name but even at 6:30 AM she was cheerful and welcoming. I learned they come in at 2 AM every morning to bake the goods for the day! I got two dozen of the assorted treats including apple fritters, cinnamon rolls, regular glazed donuts, and cinnamon swirl donuts. Nicely placed in a box to take to work and by the end of the work day all of the treats were gone! They were delicious and smelled wonderful on the way to work. Would recommend for a quick treat or breakfast for your workplace!

Stan’s Bakery is AMAZING! Covid Bride here that had to change her original wedding date from 5/30/20 to 8/7/20, but wanted to proceed with our original wedding date with a small ceremony in our barn with our family & bridal party. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was hard and so when it came to desserts for our small ceremony, I wanted Stan’s. They are in the small town next to ours so I headed into the bakery and spoke with the owner. She was honored to cater our wedding and even offered to help out with a delivery at a small fee! We ordered the peanut butter flaky croissant things (no clue what they’re called but they taste like heaven), donuts, mini cinnamon rolls & pecan rolls. Everything was amazing and literally EVERY piece was gone by the end of the night with a small group of people. That says enough. I would highly recommend this place for your next sweet treat event! Or even just next Saturday AM, make the drive to downtown Plattsmouth and give them a try. Awesome sweets at an even more awesome price. Can’t thank them enough for coming through in a short time frame and making our wedding extra special!

What has happened to my home town icon bakery?
Been closed for over a year now and have no clue what happened
They were so successful that they had remote locations selling locally & even were shipping domestically
Been living in Texas for a couple of decades now and I have yet to even come across anything else that is distinctly similar to their giant chocolate rolls, raspberry jelly filled frosted Bismarcks or the large cinnamon twists
Hey Stan’s if you’re not coming back please sell your recipes and let someone else take a shot at filling the vacuum

Excellent quality donuts at great prices!!! Our group ordered 8 different things and everyone loved what they picked – not a mediocre donut in the box. We stopped in here because our Airbnb host owns the bakery, and next time I’m in Nebraska I will go out of my way to go to Stan’s!

We absolutely LOVE Stan’s donuts at work! Every time one of my co-workers brings a box of them, we get excited for the treat. We jokingly call them the “lard donuts” because you can see the bits of butter in the frosting, and nothing that tastes this delicious can possibly be healthy for you. They taste amazing and you get an enormous donut for the price.

First thing, the 2 people that work at Stan’s are the nicest to people. They welcomed us and was a pleasure to speak with. Now to the rolls and donuts. They were delishish. Chocolate cinnamon roll and apple fritters were sweet and delightful. I would say the service is what I liked the most. They are a five star business but they are in Plattsmouth Ne. Definitely worth the drive, but location location location

I’ve seen this place many times since moving to Plattsmouth last year. I always meant to go in, and today I finally made it! Now, I’m kicking myself for not going sooner. Everything was amazingly delicious. I got an assortment of items and each one was fresh, full of wonderful flavors, and better than anything I’ve had from a larger store bakery. Everything has a perfect texture, from a chewy sort of monkey bread muffin thing to dense and moist cake donuts. The lady at the counter was friendly. I didn’t know what to get so I asked her to just fill a box and she had a smile on her face the whole time, told me about what she was grabbing, asked “do you like x?” to make sure the box was stuffed with things my family and I would enjoy. The place got busy while we were being served, but we didn’t feel rushed. We were served quickly but with the same friendly and personal touch we’ve come to expect from shops down by Main St. I highly recommend it!

I had my husband pick up some of my childhood favorites. I wished he hadn’t found the place. Tastes nothing at all like Stan’s recipes! Awful….crispies are puffy and too flour tasting. Chocolate rolls are too commercial, brownies were terrible and not Stan’s fabulous chocolate frosted brownies.
Plus everything was just “old” tasting.
I had purchased from here about 10-15 yrs ago, at that time they still had the great taste. Today, I had to throw out the full dozen that my husband bought this morning.

We stroll into Stan’s about 3 times a month and are always greeted with a friendly smile and leave with delicious donuts! And the price is absolutely unbeatable. We recommend this bakery to everyone!
