Not sure if this was the same restaurant I visited years ago, or if the restaurant name was changed. Looks like the same restaurant I grew up eatting. Good size portions, even the mini feels like a regular plate lunch.

You can tell its a local drive inn. Its full of construction workers at lunch time, sitting area looks a bit dirty and is reasonably noisy.

My chicken katsu curry tasted starchy like it needed to be cooked longer though the curry hit the spot. Mac salad was decent, right amount of mayo in it.

Looking for a cost effective local style restaurant and will make you full. Come here. Minis priced around of under $10.00, regulars are alittle more…around $17.00.

Decided to stop here for a Teri beef sandwich and chocolate malt. Lots of meat not enough lettuce. A delicious sandwich and a classic chocolate malt. I got the medium. When I was a kid I couldn’t afford this place. Go check them out for plate lunches.

I’ve always wanted to try this place. So today why not have have chicken wings to go with my poke. It’s crispy, crunchy, but a bit dry inside. The wings tasted like it was left in the freezer too long.

Atmosphere was fine, few booths, clean, great friendly staff.
I got the special : Chicken Catsu and Ribs. The chicken was so good! The ribs were mediocre and wouldn’t get again, but the BBQ sauce on them was very good.
Got 2 pieces of Fried Shrimp (menu doesn’t show as side order, but just ask) and it was also very good!
Mac salad was good but it is everywhere here on Oahu, and comes with plenty of white or brown rice (just tell them which).
Definitely recommend.

Cheap, but not worth the price.
The chicken and white rice were the only halfway decent things I had. The shrimp had no seasoning whatsoever. The macaroni salad was sub par. The fries didn’t have a grain of salt on them and were extremely inconsistent in texture. Some fries were unusually hard, and others shattered like plaster when bitten.
I have only had one experience with this place, but I feel these other reviews must be manufactured based on the lack of care that was put into my meal. Moreover, the chicken and shrimp that I ordered was the staff’s recommendation, so I had an expectation that it would be somewhat good. I was, however, sorely disappointed.

You know, this place is pretty good. I got the mini lemon chicken and it was a great amount of food for the price. Very competitive with larger local food chains. The taste was good all around. Good mac salad when I usually don’t really go for mac salad, and the lemon chicken was pretty good too. The chicken itself had a great tasting breading. I felt the lemon sauce was too sour though. I also got a malt and while expensive for the size, it was still pretty tasty.

I had the garlic chicken plate for $12.50 (only comes in regular size) it was good and I think you get what you pay for however I was kind of bummed because I wanted a malt shake (something they’re known for) but I just couldn’t bring myself to pay $7-8 for it. They have great plate lunch options but I would t go out of my way to come back.

I had plans to vacation in Oahu and so a local friend of mine had given me a list of places she likes to eat at, including Stadium Giant Malts & BBQ. She mentioned that this place made some of the best wings. My husband and son are BIG TIME wing lovers, so we had to go. She was definitely right. The wings were so good. Even my daughter and I who are NOT big time wing lovers couldn’t have enough. The seasoning was perfect! We also ordered the chicken katsu and mixed meat plates, which were ALL very delicious. The mac salad was very simple, which we personally appreciated. I assumed the chocolate malt was going to taste like a Wendy’s frosty, but it was so much better. Tasted like a blended fudgesicle. So much more refreshing… especially in the Hawaiian heat. The only downside is that there was no seating inside due to covid, but found some tables in front of the nearby Jamba Juice.

If you have plans to go to the Aloha Stadium, check it out! Right next to it!

How did I not get the MEMO?
This Local Girl only found this place out recently and it’s “Thee Spot” in the area!
Don’t let the name fool you!

This is my second time ordering the Ginger Chicken Plate within the past week.
Comes with 2 scoops rice and a scoop of mac salad but we subbed out the mac for extra rice, “YES!” & choke ginger, “Yes you heard me!”.
Let me tell you, they are very generous.
I absolutely love the balance of ginger to chicken ratio in every bite! And let’s not forget the Rice!
The portion is satisfyingly huge. And the ‘Regular’ is worth the amount you’re paying for.
Most importantly the flavor is Onolicious!

Another go to we couldn’t resist at a second round within the same week is the Hamburger Steak Plate with teri sauce!
It also comes with a great portion of 2 scoops rice and 1 scoop mac with 3 delicious homemade hamburger patties with a generous amount of teri sauce that has kikoman taste which is bomb.
Our son ate half the plate faster than usual, and that tells us how good it really is!

Anytime we’re near the Salt Lake area, trust me you’ll find us back here again! The price is good and the food is better!

Decent portions and prices, but ultimately we felt the food and flavors fell short of what others experienced. I had the beef curry and while the meat was nice and tender, it was lacking in flavor. The combos come with “salad” which in this case was a few pieces of lettuce. The mac salad was mostly mayonnaise and the pork was one note – salt. Ultimately there are better BBQ places to get lunch.
