The food is a good not great. It’s a solid consistent choice. Now the menu… Holy cow… It’s huuuuuuge. Might be too big. Lots to choose from though. Everyone can find their favorites. The service is always good.

Stacks Pancake Co. was easy to find right off of I95 and there was plenty of parking. Our group of 5 arrived without a reservation and only had to wait a few minutes in the entrance area. The menu is large with plenty of options, catering to breakfast and lunch. Once our drinks came out we knew this place was going to be an issue, all of our drinks tasted chemically like dish soap. Our food came out fairly fast and the quality clearly reflects that. The eggs Benedict sauce was separated, the English muffin wasn’t toasted which made it a soggy mess, and the home fries were cold and partially frozen. The huevos rancheros appeared to be microwaved as if it was from the frozen food section. The pancakes were the only thing acceptable enough to eat. The service was not great, the waitress delivered our food to the wrong people, we had to trade our plates. Overall we were extremely disappointed considering the other reviews on here. I highly recommend you avoid this place as you’d be better off going to Dunkin Donuts or a gas station.

Great food ,good warm atmosphere and the waitress was amazing with quick service and attentive throughout our meal it’s a little high in price for breakfast with tip 60 bucks for what you see in the pics but it is Portland Maine everything is expensive in Portland they also have all sorts of homemade juice cocktails I guess you’d call it that we saw on blackboard as we were leaving wish we tried one maybe next time so if you want a good breakfast and good service stacks is the place to go

First time at stacks. I ordered the omelette with broccoli and Swiss cheese, wanted mushrooms, but was told they were canned!! the broccoli was frozen chopped broccoli. I was very disappointed. Also, they served home fries that were cold and overcooked toast. Coffee was okay. There’s better places with quality food closer by than stacks won’t be going there again

There are definitely way better places to go around and in the city of Portland. I would not come here if it was my choice. I was with a group and we were staying next door so it was an easy choice. I ended up not eating any of the food. Definitely do NOT order home fries unless you like non cooked potato cubes tasting like they were cooked in an old car’s engine oil. Canadian bacon was stiff and the styling of the plate was They clearly cooked my food before my partner’s and let it sit in the plate for 10 min so when my ‘bacon’ and ‘eggs’ were served, they were cold.
The server came back to bring the food, pushed the two empty half&half cups to the side and placed the plate. Did not take the trash with her at all.
Now in a country where ‘tipping’ is where the servers make money, you’d think even at a place like this they’d be a little better at it. Nah. Absolutely not.
The other server was nice but she had cat hair all over her black tshirt.
I am pretty sure it’s a #neveragain type of experience for me. I did not eat any of the food. My dog ate some of the bacon and eggs, that’s it.
Yuck.

The food was awesome! The pancakes and omelets were amazing, also the potatoes were incredible delicious — highly recommended. My only suggestion is regarding the beverages: I had a cappuccino and my wife had a mocha, and both were quite small for the price. There’s definitely room for improvement there. Aside from that, the place and service is excellent!

Walked in and weren’t greeted by anyone. Manager seemed very flustered. Vibes were atrocious and full of tourists. Food was passable but the chocolate milk had the faintest whisper of syrup. The potatoes weren’t crispy and had a weird after taste. The bacon was also soggy. Food was very overpriced but should’ve expected that with it being attached to the hotel.

2nd time my husband and I have been to this location while visiting! A couple years ago I remembered they have GF/V pancakes that were so good! Recently I called to confirm they have Belgian Waffles that were the same and omg was it to die for! Can never find a place that doesn’t make them GF without eggs! Well worth it!

Not crowded, took 10 minutes for someone to come to table after seating.
Ordered a country omelette, it came with potatoes they were cold the omelette was overcooked and bland.
I think the toast and coffee were the best things about the meal.
Oh it was $20.00 and I felt like I had to tip just because.
I should have went across the street to Burger King.

Went here with a two person group, got the French toast combo which consisted of very good cinnamon’s were all French toast, two eggs, and two pieces of turkey sausage. The French toast was very good, the eggs and the turkey sausage were about standard. In fact, the turkey sausage may have been a little overcooked and required some effort to cut through. Other than that, our service was great, the people were extraordinarily nice. And we were seated and served very quickly.
