First time experiencing this food and my GOD this food is beyond great. I got the ribs,chicken,gouda mac and cheese and baked beans. For dessert we got the banana cookie pudding and it’s the best banana pudding I’ve ever had. Definitely 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Amazing restaurant for delicious barbecue! The place is just the right size, with a great menu and fantastic food. The service was even better, super polite and friendly. We tried a variety of dishes and everything was super tasty . At the end, the staff surprised us with a traditional banana pudding, saying ‘you can’t come to Texas and not try our banana pudding and it was amazing! Excellent service and a wonderful experience. Awesome musical taste indoors, excellent and tastefully decor merch and beyond good food. Pricey, but do you really want to skip out on taste and quality. For thebdkill of thebgrillmasfera alone you shoukd be paying Black’s or Stiles level of prices but you dont. Banana Pudding, great, mac n cheese? “Have you tried the bbq yet?” Coming from Chicago on a work trip, this was our first experience of Texas Bbq, so we had high hopes. Stack city didn’t disappoint. We had the ‘notorious pig’. It was yummy! Full of flavor with smoke tastes. The meat was awesome. Bread was perfect. We asked for the sauce and slaw on the side so that we could do our own portioning. We also had sides of mac and potato casserole. The mac was awesome. The casserole was too, more like a thick mashed potato, I loved it. Topped it off with some banana pudding – tip: check who is in your pudding cookie. Hope to return when we’re back in the area. We also chatted with the manager Jon, who was super accommodating and spent just enough time chatting with us, noticing my wife’s hat for example, striking up conversation. We’ll be back!

Dopest bbq in Central Texas hands down. The godfather is my go to, but you can’t go wrong with the nachos. They are my go-to for when friends and family come into town and now order catering for professional functions when I want to look like a hero.

This Texas BBQ spot absolutely nails it if you’re into serious sandwiches and good beer.
I had their pork rib meat sandwich, and it was outstanding. Deep smoky flavor, tender rib meat pulled perfectly, and stacked in a way that didn’t fall apart halfway through eating it always a good sign. You can tell they respect the meat and don’t drown it to hide mistakes.
We also tried their take on a cabin sandwich, and it held its own. Different vibe, same execution: balanced, rich, and satisfying without being sloppy or overdone.
Both sandwiches were genuinely delicious. Pair that with a solid beer selection and a laid-back Texas BBQ atmosphere, and it’s an easy recommendation.
I’ll be back. No question.

Seeing that I live in the north part of Austin when I come down to the highland Anderson area. I definitely love stopping at slabs.
When I’m super hungry their portion sizes can fill you up no problem.
Today me and the Mrs. Were medium hungry. If so, we decided to split some nachos with extra meat and the $2 extra charge for premium brisket.
I also chose to get some banana pudding cuz I love the cookie that comes with it and it is delicious.
This location, one of two remaining. The other being in the Brody Lane area.
If you like pure sugar sodas you’ll enjoy the sugar cane brand soda fountain. There is also, bottled Mexican sodas.
There is also a bar with multiple drafts on tap as shown in my pictures.
I did notice half price rib night is on Thursdays as well as some very cool merchandise and barbecue sauce around the front entrance area.
There is definitely some really cool original art throughout the establishment.
Plenty of space for at least 60 people and they offer discounts for military and veterans.
If you get a chance to stop by slabs, you won’t regret it

We had Slab BBQ cater for our office Happy Hour and they were absolutely amazing. Food was 10/10 and service was 10/10 we ordered over 30lbs of food and they brought it all out to my car and packed it up neatly and securely! We look forward to working with them again.
