A historic Stable, on the banks of the Rock river in Jefferson Wisconsin, you’ll find the newest riverfront Winery & Distillery!Stable Rock Winery & Distillery is a brand new winery & distillery in a historic stable, on the banks of the Rock River in Jefferson. Considering Jefferson’s rich German history, Stable Rock has several German influences with it’s wines and food all while sitting at authentic German Beer Garden tables directly from Munich, Germany. All of Stable Rock’s unique wines and spirits are bottled on site, but manufactured at our production facility in Lake Mills where our sister winery, Lewis Station Winery is located. Tasting flights are offered so you can experience all of our different selections.

I traveled to Jefferson on Sunday to meet up with someone. Given how cold and windy it was outside, we decided to seek refuge at Stable Rock Winery & Distillery. Neither of us had been there before.
We ordered a wine flight and asked Amanda to surprise us with the choice of four wines.
We really enjoyed the wines. And Amanda was awesome.
I love history and historic buildings that have been repurposed and Stable Rock didn’t disappoint there. It’s housed in an old stable along the Rock River.
The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Even when more people came it was still quiet enough to enjoy good conversation.
I liked one of the wines so much I bought a bottle to take home.
Look forward to coming back.

Beautiful location on the river with an outdoor patio. Everything from wine tasting to mixed cocktails and slushes. Extensive selection to choose from for every taste. Especially enjoyed the live music, which was at a tasteful volume to enjoy the music and still socialize. There was an ample selection of food as well, from fish fry, sandwiches, flatbreads and appetizers. Great place to gather with friends and enjoy a walk downtown or along the river afterwards. Definitely a hidden gem in Jefferson, WI!

Great winery and distillery with wonderful views of the park and river. The salmon dip is delicious and the flatbread was tasty, the thick wood-fired crust was the best! We love the giant wurst plate they serve, it is great to share with a large group and the chef is always checking to make sure the food is being enjoyed! This has become a favorite spot for us!

Came to Jefferson for a street fair. Discovered this gem on the Rock River. A very nice venue. Had a strawberry rhubarb slushy. Very good and refreshing. Very clean. Winery and distillery. Food available. Outdoor patio and seating. An old Livery building .Recommended.

I love this place and try to stop here whenever I am in the area. I have tried a different wine every time and never been disappointed. They offer great food and unique atmosphere. Seating is available indoors and outside.

This winery is awesome. We like to come on Sundays when the flights are half off.
I signed up for their reward program and it builds up quickly. There are a lot of different wines for different customers, I like more red and dry and my husband like more sweet- Stable Rock has all of these and lots in-between. I saw a sign of theirs that said the use fully solar power to run the winery which is awesome to see.
We came with two kids (they had tablets and kept quite) who were welcomed.
We have not eaten here. I have Celiac, and they have gluten free options, I asked about their cross contamination process and it doesn’t sound safe. There is no separate area, but that’s ok for me. I can eat first or bring in my own safe food, and then go to the winery.
For somewhere half way between Waukesha and Madison, this is the perfect stop.

My sister said it well. Thank you Rob, Holly and Chris for taking care of our celebration of Life for our Mom. She would have loved our choice and her friends and family all did as well. The team worked to create a comfortable space for the amount of people that were attending, that we had all that was needed, ans Chris checked in often to ensure nothing was missed. Food and wine were delicious. Thank you for making this memorable for all.
