I ordered takeout at the restaurant right before closing, and there were no other customers or pending orders. We only ordered two simple soups. I ordered a pho rau cai with tofu, but it came without the tofu. Pretty basic mistake for such a simple order. They should double-check takeout orders before handing them out.

The new ownership has turned this restaurant all the way around. Service is fast and attentive, food is rich and flavorful, space is clean and minimalistic. Definitely our new go-to spot for Vietnamese in South Bay.

*I am happy to say that we returned and noticed a huge improvement in the food and service! Must be under new management. Tried the beef spring rolls they are delicious!!
This place was sadly a huge disappointment. I can’t blame the staff for the service because there was only one lady during dinner rush hour, and she was the cashier and waitress. I’m assuming. Since she was so busy as the cashier we were never checked on by any server. We ordered at the register and tried the egg rolls, fillet mignon vermicelli bowl. The cook brought out our food. The egg rolls were not served with the usual lettuce and mint leaf that every Pho place serves them with. We had to get up to go ask for lettuce and we were told they don’t serve them with lettuce. The egg rolls were so soggy and greasy!!! Had the flavor of being fried in old reused oil. The vermicelli bowl was so bland the meat had no flavor. I’ve been to many Pho places and have never been to one this disappointing. They are lucky they’re in a very busy commercial area with lots of people shopping and needing to get food.

I have been eating here before the new ownership took over. Place has gone downhill. Portions are massive in an effort to overshadow the tasteless food. Beef ribs are boiled and flavorless. Shrimp in spring rolls went from 3 massive shrimps to 4 extremely small shrimp. Extremely disappointing and expensive. Last time eating here.

First time coming to this restaurant and overall it was good. The rice dish with shrimp and filet mignon was tasty but the meat might need a little more flavor to it. The combo Pho bowl could be improved since we’ve had better Pho in San Diego. We like the fact that the restaurant is next to the AMC and it is pretty clean inside. Service is just right. If you pay with cash, you’ll get a 10% discount.

The pho here is absolutely amazing and delicious. Even if you order To Go it is still steaming hot and fresh. Their Thai tea is very good as well. I will always eat here. The soup is very soothing especially when I am sick.

Craving pho and you’re in this area? Yes, the broth is good! It may not be like my most favorite pho broth in San Diego (i.e. Vietnamese Chinese Noodle House in National City) but it does the job! It’s got a good taste pho sure! If you’re dining in, you’ll get to eat your soup piping hot. Believe it or not, if you plan on picking up an order to go, the pho broth will still be hot as it is separated from the noodles so you can put it together at home. But just note: I wish they’d fill the to-go pho broth container to the top!
Here is what I usually get here (also check out my pictures):
Filet Mignon Pho – Sound fancy? It is more straightforward being that the filet mignon cut is tender and has absolutely no fat and ia it worth $15 in a pho soup? Yes! It tastes clean and, while you won’t get a lot of meat, it’s just enough to satisfy your tastebuds.
Shrimp Spring Rolls: A bit thinner than other pho places but still tasty at $8.00 for 2 pieces
BBQ Chicken Rice Plate: At $13.00, this generous rice plate is easily 2 servings! If you need a break from teriyaki chicken, this BBQ plate will surely deliver. Sauce is already on the sliced chicken.
The servers are friendly and welcome you as you walks in whether you’re dining in or picking up an order. If you’re picking up an order, head straight towards the cashier counter towards the back to pay for it! You can sit at an empty table as you’re waiting for your food if it’s not ready yet!

Sadly, another disappointing meal. Not entirely bad was just bland. I have had Pho in every state I’ve traveled to. After a far worse lunch in Charlotte NC, this is probably the second worst. To start, the Pho noodles were soft and bland. The soup stock was watery and had the same flavor as store bought broth. My wife’s soup was an oilier version. The last nail in the coffin was the tasteless egg roll dipping sauce and the baggy of extras that appeared “recycled”. I’m not going to bash the place much more… The establishment requires some new excitement and then sprinkled on their food. This was my second and final visit. Judge for yourself.

Let’s start by saying this should be a birria spot! The birria tacos are very good. The pho on the other hand is not the best, the flavor isn’t authentic. Service was not too bad but it wasn’t good. It’s a cute, quiet place.

I’m not a huge Pho person, but they have plenty of delicious alternatives! I could not speak to their Pho but the dishes my friend and I had were very good! The staff was super nice, and the service was quick and accurate. I’d definitely recommend this place for those who want to go out with friends/family that do like Pho because of their ample options for anyone who doesn’t favor Pho.
