This was my 3rd time stopping at St. Nicholas Brewing Company (I live 3 hours away). I have not been disappointed yet, and look forward to the next time I’m traveling through. The venue itself is great, with both indoor and outdoor seating. This worked well for us on our last trip because we had our dog with us and were able to sit outside. They offer a good variety of food & beer, and everything we’ve had has been outstanding. Servers have always been polite, attentive, and don’t hover, whether you sit at a table or the bar. Can’t wait to go back!

Our boy ran in the state XC meet in Du Quoin today so we decided to give the brewery a try because we’ve been told by several people it was worth it. We weren’t busy seated right away, but that is the only promising thing I can say about our visit. We ordered flights, a margarita, and a martini. We received the flights and martini right away, but the margarita took almost 40 minutes. My husband ordered a brunch bowl, my kids had burgers, and I ordered a BLFGT Sammie. It took one hour and forty minutes to get our food. My sandwich came out without bacon. My husbands bowl was laughable. People were going up to the bar themselves to get refills. It’s unfortunate, but we probably won’t be back. They definitely need more staff.

What a cool 1800’s building with a cool story (it explains the bike theme). We cannot say enough about the staff especially our server (I think her name was Tiffany). Everyone was super nice and friendly. We also enjoyed the craft beer and the food looked great. If we were locals, this would definitely be a place to frequent.

This place was absolutely fantastic. I had one of their specials, the meatloaf, which NEEDS to be on their permanent menu. I also added the deliciously crispy yet tender Bacon Brussels sprouts and I ate them all! My husband had the Cajun Po Boy, which I only had a glimpse of because it was so good he devoured it! My kids loved their food too which is rare because they can be so finicky. Our server was phenomenal (can’t remember his name but he had curly hair and was so sweet and hospitable). We had the soft pretzel sticks as an appetizer and we were fighting over them (with beer cheese). The Trans Am IPA was our favorite as was the Hazelnut Stout. Keep this place in business because we would definitely be coming back all the from Chicago!

Very quiet, and relaxed. Decor is really cool with old bikes hanging from the roof. Food is always amazing! Definitely recommend the fried green tomatoes or the pickles.

Our first time trying St. Nicolas Brewing Co. A place with history, charm, great atmosphere, plenty of seating. Our waitress was a complete delight. Very friendly, took time to talk to my husband about the different beer available. They have a very nice selection to choose from.
For appetizers we ordered the Mushroom Fries, which are made from portobellos, also had the Spinach and Artichoke Dip both were delicious.
I had the Basic Burger, had a great flavor, chose fries as the side, also very good. Definitely look forward to going back. They have a very nice menu selection.

We dined here on Valentine’s Day. I had the blackened salmon with lemon orzo and Parmesan green beans. My husband had the seafood ravioli. Both were delicious! The Girl Scout Cookie cheesecakes were the perfect dessert. The surprise of the evening was a Coconut Porter. I believe it is seasonal, but next time they brew it, definitely try it. I don’t like coconut or Porters and we bought the last 5 bottles to take home because we lived it so much! I’ve never gotten anything to eat here that hasn’t been absolutely delicious!

My 1st visit was only a month ago…. Saturday, Jan. 21 was my 3rd! St. Nicholas Brewry has quickly become one of my favorite places to dine. Each visit was outstanding! We had a large group (We were celebrating 3 birthdays – children included) on Saturday and every single person was very happy with their food, service and the fun atmosphere. Our server (young man, I unfortunately cannot remember his name) was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. He even offered to take our group pictures.
Thank you for another great dining experience!!
