Sweet little spot for super fresh food & the world’s greatest cup of coffee. We had the biscuits & gravy (really enough to share), Mexican quiche & the lightest croissant Ive ever had! The Mud street Blend coffee is unlike any other and very tasty black or with cream & sugar. It’s cozy atmosphere is just right. Room to move around and have a conversation. Mud Street is one of our local favorites. We usually make at least 1 meal there when we’re in ES.

TLDR: Go if they are open.

Food: The signature sandwiches were good. All sauce seems to come on the side as standard.

The coffee was good. Mochas (iced & hot) were veryuch more dessert style.

Service: Was quick and efficient. None of the items took long to get to the table. Super plus. Server was nice.

Atmosphere: Its in the basement with its own flare. Works for the spot.

We had high hopes because of the reviews but our meals were overpriced and the food average. We ordered the Reuben and Greek Chicken sandwich. Both came with chips and a soggy pickle. The corned beef was cut thick, had a lot of fat and the sauerkraut was way too wet. Upon arrival the sandwich was impossible to eat by hand because the bottom bread slice was soggy. The chicken was ok, but nothing to be excited about. Also to note there is another restaurant at street level called the Annex where you can get breakfast – don’t get them confused. Ours only had the lunch menu.

Mud St. Cafe – Eureka Springs

Great food surrounded by great staff!!! If you’re looking for a place with generous food portions, you’ve arrived!

Let’s start from the beginning. When you are looking to park to eat here, you have option to pay cash or through mobile app, “Passport Parking.” Mobile App parking has clearly designated spaces. App is easy to use. It cost me $3.15 for 3 hours.

Once you enter through the doors, you will go downstairs to the cafe. To my knowledge, this would not be a good eating place for people in wheelchairs. I didn’t see alternative options. If someone knows something different, please comment on here and correct me.

Once I entered the cafe, a friendly young lady greeted me and asked, “How are you? Where would you like to sit?” Once at my table, she mentioned, “Coffee is self-serve and unlimited refills.” You can choose from; “Mud Street Blend,” “Dang Good Decaf,” “Ethiopia,” and “Guatemala.” I tried the bold and dark flavors of, “Mud Street Blend,” and it tasted very good. Offering Dark cherry, Smoky Overtone and Bakers Chocolate Notes.

The menu selection is vast and offers so many good options. After spending some time, I finally settled on, “Grilled Tuna Sandwich.” – $16.25
(Grilled 8oz Yellow Fin Tuna Steak on sourdough toast, with lettuce, tomatoes and red onions.) The sandwich was so big that I couldn’t even finish my entire plate. But it had great flavors. Tuna was cooked to order and in the shape of a heart.

Jennifer was my waitress. She also happens to own this wonderful, multi-year, Award Winning Restaurant. Just like the staff, Jennifer was very approachable and easygoing. She was very helpful in helping me with some questions I had about the area. Thank you Jennifer for your help and advice.

The atmosphere was cozy with plenty of seating options. You have a good sized bar with lots of drinks to choose from. They offer Breakfast and Lunch. Next time I come, I’ve gotta try their breakfast. I’ve heard great things about it from the locals and the staff. Yes, absolutely recommend it.

I was a little disappointed in our food. I ordered the Mud Bowl with sausage gravy. The biscuits were very dry and there were SO MANY potatoes, which really just lacked flavor. The restaurant was cute and self serve coffee was very good. If we went back, I would order something else besides the mud bowl.

Oh the coffee was perfection! We had a wonderfully prepared cheese burger and the Greek chicken sandwich. The side dip served with it was a deal breaker it was so good.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch for the first time and have a fabulous experience. Our poor waitress was literally out of breathe when she got to our table. We told her to take a second and relax, we’d be a no pressure table. She was absolutely delightful. I didnt catch her name but I believe both her and her daughter work there. We passed along a magnet we produce and suddenly the place was filled with the giggles of servers and staff. Our food was amazing. Pay the extra money and get the homestyle potatoes instead of chips. It’s well worth it. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious and the staff is top notch. From someone who has been in food service for 3 decades, I was impressed.

I got the hash brown scramble. It didn’t taste like it was seasoned at all. The potatos were grainy like they had been cooked then refrigerated and they weren’t crispy. The veggies on top were well cooked but like I mentioned there was no seasoning so it was just unseasoned squash and carrots. My husband did not care for his food and didn’t finish it which is surprising as he will eat about anything. I will say the pancake was one of the best I’ve ever had. My husband also liked the biscuits and gravy but the main courses could use some work. The decor inside was amazing.

We returned for breakfast on our recent visit to Eureka Springs. Again, breakfast was excellent and so was the service. I had blueberry pancakes (they’re huge) and hubby had egg, sausage, & breakfast potatoes . They have great coffee.
This place has an excellent breakfast and also really good coffee. I cannot believe we got seated as soon as we did but we did only have a party of two. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which was really good. It has a nice atmosphere and our waiter was very very friendly. We will return the next time we visit Eureka Springs.
