I don’t do a lot of these, but it should be done when exceptional. Just a small tiny town dive bar, but not with tiny service or experience. Kind staff, that care about their customers . Food is good, and inexpensive. Have met the owner and his son, and other staff upon returning so many times. Real good people. I will share one experience, and leave you to decide. I came with my wife and 2 boys, ages 6-9 years old. The server had given them some candy and stuffed animals. This was in the beginning when they didn’t even know us. Such nice people. Do yourself a favor and try them out.

Business owner drinks to much to be running a bar he belittles cuts down customers very rude no business owner should ever call customers morons bc they don’t understand dice game. Will never go back to that dive bar.

Bar hopping and decided to jump off 371 and check this place out. Great MN dive bar in a small town. Beer was cold. A lot of beer on tap! Pizza was scrumptious. The bartender / cook / server (all in one) was workin’ it! We’d stop in again if in the neighborhood!

, Got there at open, bartender was right with us. Bartender took our order and cooked it, the best burger I had in a long time, very juicy but seard on the outside maid for a great taste. Going back when in the area again.

Great homemade food. Nice portion sizes. Flavorful. Good pricing. In addition to the regular bar style food like burgers and fries (which are executed well) there are also wraps and salads. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. We love going to St Mathias!

Went over to pick up a burger basket for lunch, was pleasantly surprised when I walked through the second door to see and up to date, neat, clean bar. The bartender was very friendly, my to go burger and fries were ready and waiting. The burger was juicy and well seasoned, the fries were fresh and tasty, after reading the other reviews I’m looking to see how good wing Wednesday really is! Would highly recommend popping in and checking it out!

We were there on Wednesday for lunch…(first time)…. I ordered shrimp tacos the breaded was burnt and very hard… I had to peel the breading off to eat them and the taco shell not heated. When I mentioned it to bartender/cook all he said was “sorry about that” and walked back to the bar….not very welcoming.
The shells on the tacos for my husband (taco special) were not even heated….but tasted good.
We were impressed how clean and well maintained the bar and bathrooms were.
