From the outside it’s your archetypal country inn… step inside and the main bar and eating area offers a bespoke contemporary interior, with modern twists, creating a comfortable, relaxed dining and drinking atmosphere. The menu offers imaginative food at reasonable prices, including traditional favourites, grills and scrummy puddings! The wine list is a bit different too; with plenty of choice and an extensive list of wines by the glass. If wine’s not your thing, don’t worry, try a pint from the great range of continental lagers, the locally brewed beers or the cask conditioned award-winning Liberation Ale. Outside there is a fabulous alfresco area, the perfect place to eat and drink on those warm sunny days.

I hadn’t been for many years and I wasn’t disappointed. Still the same cosy, Jersey pub that it’s always been. The food was delicious, plentiful and perfectly cooked. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the bill was worth every penny.

Staff very friendly and approachable. Timing of service was three stars because after starter and main course were delivered, we had to go to the bar to ask for dessert and later on for our bill aswell. Food quality was good and sensibly priced.
Liberation offer regular “deals” to entice customers to their establishments and they are most welcome way to encourage people out of the house!!

Good atmosphere. Typical old fashioned pub food. Good beer. Although the pub says it’s disabled friendly, it isn’t really. There are steps at the front, or steps into the back door. The wheelchair friendly route is somewhat precarious, or if you walk with a stick it’s down a fairly narrow, fairly steep ramp.

We enjoyed our double birthday family celebration. Shout out to the chef Vaasi who rose to the occasion to ensure even the teenage member of our party had dishes they could enjoy. Friendly staff and very well organised. The food was very good and beautifully presented.

Great place, great location, great food! Visited recently – had a lovely broccoli and feta vegan salad (see picture) and my husband enjoyed a burger (sorry no photo). The staff were so welcoming and all in all we had a great time here.

We had fish and chips and pappardelle with mushrooms. Both plates were quite average. The pasta was floating in sauce – it almost felt like a soup. The fish seemed like it was cooked from frozen and not fresh. The food in general was average.
