Had absolutely no idea about this little gem of a place. I go to a place across the street and have never stopped in here till today and let me tell you this place is awesome I found out from the wonderful staff that it’s family owned and operated and it shows. The friendliness and the attention to detail is phenomenal. As I was waiting I’ve noticed this place is hopping with business and now I know why. Only wish I had to stop here before now.

Absolutely delicious! Southern Maryland is a food desert and this place was the first place I’ve found in Southern Maryland that was something to write home about. Please support this small business— too many chains with mediocre food in our area. I had the Chubby ciabatta and a honey cinnamon shaken iced coffee highly recommend!

Excellent sandwiches and good-looking pizza too (large slices, not greasy). We ordered the Chubby Ciabatta and a custom-topping Turkey & Cheese. Both sandwiches were made quickly, although we were happy to wait – walk around and google at the extensive wine, beer and alcohol sales. The turkey & cheese was on the freshest sourdough bread I’ve every had! My husband devoured the Chubby Ciabatta. There are just a few stools to eat at or wait for your order. We’ll definitely be back…seems like you can’t go wrong ordering from this place!

Great place! I haven’t been here since before they remodeled the place. It looks like they practically rebuilt it!
It’s a very nice place, clean and well stocked with merchandise and staff.
They serve plenty of food and at a fair price.
This evening I grabbed a pizza and mozzarella sticks and was not disappointed!
The pizza had plenty of crunch but still chewy while still holding firm til the end of the slice. Pepperoni slice were nice and large which leave a lot of flavor in the cheese.
Plenty of drinks and to-go snacks if you’re in a hurry.

Never had a bad meal here. Great food, surprisingly great selection of spirits and beers. Service is relatively quick even when they are packed.

My favorite place in southern Maryland! Love stopping by in-between swim sessions. I love the angry chicken sandwich and wings! My pic does not do it justice. Food is great!! Depending on the time of the day you may end up having to wait 15-20 minutes for that delicious food, but definitely worth the wait. Also the coffee is great. Nutella coffee! Heart!!

If you want a delicious meal, snacks for the road, perfectly balanced and flavored coffee, or a wide selection of spirits this place has it all. As soon as you walk through the door the energy is clean and uplifting. Every food item I tried tasted fresh and delectable. They even have a cafe right in the store made fresh for you right there and the flavor of the coffee is perfect. Aside from all this, the staff was helpful, attentive, smiling, and brings your food out quickly. I wish I could give St. James Deli 6 stars but Google only allows 5.

Spent $99 on 2 lrg pizzas, 2 7 in subs, 3 orders French fries and 2 orders onions rings. The food is great tasting, but wow.. asked for now cheese on both got cheese on both and 9 yes only NINE onion rings.

1st time eating here since the rebuild. The place is huge and looks really nice. I got the Cibatta Dan, add tomatoes. A large side of coleslaw as well.
The sandwich was great, maybe a little too much house sauce for me though. I’ll ask for light sauce next time, and there will be a next time! My biggest issue was the coleslaw, it just had way too much celery seed because that is all I could taste. Pull back on the celery seed and it’ll be great. Looking forward to trying other sandwiches and stuff there. Welcome back to business!

I was reccomended by a friend of mine to stop here for subs& pizza! So I was told there Philly Cheesesteak pizza was amazing. So I ordered a 16″ large Philly Cheesesteak pizza which was best tasting, fresh pizza I’ve had in a long time! Hands down BEST pizza in SOMD!! The pizza dough is fresh handmade, all ingredientsare fresh as well as you can taste that in the pizza which was Amazing!! I highly recommend all friends and family to come to St. James Deli as there pizza is amazing way better than Papa johns, domino’s, Harris better etc!!! Thank You
